Out- Clark, Jetta, Viney?

In- McKenzie, Dunn, Strauss

Mckenzie to Rockliff in middle and Dunn on him or Zorko when one rests forward

Bail to Zorko/Redden where possible

Use Dunn wherever possible to make Rockliff/Zorko accountable and drag them away from goal

Frawley to Brown

McDonald to Martin/Leuenberger

Strauss to play as an attacking HBF

Watts on other HBF

Garland the spare defender

Gawn and Pedo up forward and to rotate with Jamar through ruck and bench

Burnes on HFF and Flash deep to give crumbers/good ball users/goal sneaks on both lines

The rest of the team playing through midfield/forward.

My Plan A anyway =)

Mckenzie does not do enough to justify a place, he does not dispose of the ball well and majority of his possessions are handpasses that gain very little meterage. I would prefer Rodan or couch.

He is not in there for what he does when he has the ball, he is vital to the side for what he does when they have the ball!

What happened to our boys in Perth last week?

Robbed by the men in white again?

What are our chances this week PSD

Agree, but one of them will come in. I would vote Strauss as most likely to panic under pressure, which kills his kicking. He is ordinary one on one (but admittedly haven't seen him this year) and I don't think we can carry two softies in the back line (along with Watts). Nicho, on the other hand has completely lost his aggression and is a bit more hesitant since he broke his jaw last year (IMO) on top of the shyte kicking. Dilemma!

People are assuming that Strauss will crack under pressure. People saw round one that Nicholson does crack under pressure. There was nothing soft about Strauss game last week. Jettas suspension creates a need to bring a small defender in options are Nicho, Strauss or possibly Dunn straight back.

They were never really in it old dee, they were brave all day which was good to see.

Mark Seaby was the difference between the two teams and both sides were missing key players

We should beat Swans today and depending on results today there could be a gap opening between the top 4 and the other sides

Just heard that Rich was injured at training......Broken bone in the arm?????

he is a fantastic tackler, he would have been handy in most games this year where the opposition was just waltzing out of stoppages, he NJones and Sylvia are a nice tough three in the middle for mine

We got done like a dinner PSD

This is not good for my humour.

I am into the Cardies due to the poor form of the red and blue this side of Continent.

Carn the black ducks!

Keeps the competition intersting with Swans bridging the gap. Big game for us next week against East Freo. Demons are having a good year

Great to see Viney having a rest week after 4 rounds - something we did not do with Trenners or Scully.

With rest weeks every month for first year players I think they would develop better. It would ease the pressure on their bodies - preventing injury. I think it would also give them a chance to step back and access their football and where they need to imporve, go into the following week feeling fresh - resulting in better performance = confidence!

Good work Neeld! .......... although I do question that extended interchange/selection (Nicho and Rodan? and Rodan in starting 18 ahead of Matt Jones/Davey?)

davey might just be the super sub. And I wouldn't be surprised if jones has a week for reflection in the VFL as well. Remember our midfield was beaten for 3 quarters by GWS. That's not a good sign. He's more mature, but needs proper development as well

I thought Jones was decent last week, and he has been one of our best in the opening month. He is one of the last players on our team that needs "a week for reflection in the VFL".

if he was so decent who is responsible for all the GWS mids who all got 25+ touches. He also wasn't as prominent in the last quarter as the other mids. I'm not saying its particularly fair but with rodan, blease and mckenzie back in, and if you straight swap Strauss for jetta then you are looking at a midfielder making way.

Yep, Its the energy levels & intensity & hardness, where we need the most inspiration & leadership first.

* I see we've added Blease in to the lineup.. he will help our balance going forward, I hope.

Sylvia didn't start to turn it on until the last quarter, and Jack Viney was missing. I'm not saying Jones was incredible, I'm saying that he was decent and did enough both against GWS and in the three weeks prior to earn his spot this week.

I think McKenzie for Viney is a straight swap, as is Strauss for Jetta.

Yeah I see that as well but Rodan is in (say for Clark) and then who is Blease in for. If he's not in for Jones he has to come in for Davey (who's been great as the sub) or Tapscott who I thought was just getting his game to the level that we wouldn't drop him. It's not that I want to drop Jones it's just I think Strauss has earned his shot, McKenzie has to come back and I don't want to ruin Tapscott's confidence now he's got it. We will have the answer in a couple of hours. My guess is that Strauss is actually the one who misses out. Neeld likes Blease and McKenzie, not sure he likes Strauss.

We did actually. Scully and Trengove both missed the game down at Geelong, the now infamous 186. Admittedly, it was Round 12, not after Round 4. They seem to be managing young Jack well.

ah yes.. of course we were criticized for being soft and protecting them from the Cats

Wasnt there first year 2010 and the Geelong game 2011?

Anyway Grimesy in the backline this week without Strauss. Should solidify things down back.

Frawley - Brown

McDonald - Ruckman

Garland - Cornelius - Important match up, Cornelius can be good on his day

Watts - Paparone - Youngster looks talent, Watts looks like a spud, lets see what he can do

Terlich - Greene

Grimes - resting mid - Zorko/Polkinghorn

Up forward the big matchups will be against their smalls. Our bigs really have to create contests and we'll have to crumb goals. Howe has a tough matchup against Patfull.

In the middle I imagine it will be McKenzie to Rockliff whilst Raines heads to Jones. Might be a bit of old mates Sylvia against Moloney. That could get interesting.
