I don't see a ruckman, I see a statue.

Cox will dominate like you wouldn't believe.

I am considering putting him in as Captain in my DT.

Not quite, GA will absolutely have a field day against the lions on current form.

This may be of little consequence, but Cox got smashed last week, they are missing NikNat backup, agree I was highly surprised Jamar was there, third week Spencer emergency though, so u never know, that being said from what Satterley said Gawn may only be a week or so away

Edit had Kerr out that was news from west but he is in

IN: Bail, Tapscott, Jetta, Pedersen, Evans

Out: Gillies (Groin), Rodan, Blease, Watts, Nicholson

If this is accurate then you can lock in another massive loss....

Dean kent has shown more than half our list. Gawn has second efforts.

it really is like shuffling deck chairs

infact Ill go further - neeld is clearly still tanking if he thinks Sellar and Jamar (who by the way I do rate generally) did enough in the last two weeks to maintain a position in our side over Spencer and Gawn).

Evans and Jetta probably overdue - more run means nothing if you have a midfield manned by two 18 year olds who cannot be expected to get the ball and Jonesy the only functioning inside mid. jamar will get smashed again and so will our midfield and we could have buddy franklin in the forward 50 and we'd still get smashed.

Bail has terrible disposal generally, but he DOES at least get the ball on occasions so I guess that is a good choice.

Sylvia must stay in the midfield so we have another bigger body in there at least.

Good to see Terlich still in.

Dean Kent, Neville jetta - two players that should have been selected from round 1!

My call is Jack Watts will play and Sellar is out.

Stop trying to make Watts a loose man and make him play hip to hip on one the Eagles talls,he has to be accountable for an opponent.

Great to see Nev back in.

So Watts was ill, as reported by Neeld himself, but gets dropped the next week...

This after choosing to sub him when there were at least 18 other candidates. Is he actually trying to tear his confidence to shreds?

Meanwhile Kent still waits for his chance after being one of THE players in the pre-season.

Jamar keeps his spot after the single worst performance I can remember seeing by a ruckman, and only marginally better the week before.

Thank God Jetta finally gets picked and both Nicholson and Gillies go. 2 rounds too late.

I have serious concerns about some of the decisions being made at this club. It's getting to a stage where if Neeld was revealed as being a Collingwood plant to destroy the club from within, my reaction would be one of mild shock.

Let's hope it's under 100 points.

I would think work rate / defensive pressure would be the reason.

Seems to be his biggest weakness.

7 touches?

Satterley on Jamar: "Mark's an experienced players and we're looking forward to him bouncing back. He's up for the challenge against one of the best - if not the best - in the competition. Paul."

Sylvia? Toumpass had 6.

Blease needs to be in to develop him. Low workrate - make him go out and fix it up. He's only had one game and a quarter. Sylvia and Jimmy have had two full games. Jimmy needs to go down for confidence but I can see the merits of playing him until he finds the groove. Sylvia must go.

Think we will finally see what Evans has to offer. Biggest smokey on our list. I rate him higher then Trengove and think he will have a bigger career

So we've dropped Watts but he isn't named at Casey, how is he meant to improve?

He is an emergency and I wouldn't be surprised if he was a late inclusion.

Meanwhile Kent still waits for his chance after being one of THE players in the pre-season.

Casey kicked 23 goals on the weekend. Kent managed one of those, albeit a nice one. He wasn't listed in the bests, and was mid-table for possessions.

We have enough kids whose development has been cruelled by being thrown in too early, at least let's learn from our mistakes. He's 18. Let him have half a season of really solid performances at Casey and actually earn a call-up.

Jimmy T will be a player but I wonder why he keeps getting a game. He seems to put too much pressure on himself and gets very lost. I wonder is he's in because dropping him would be worse for his confidence.

I will say this. There are probably 10 blokes in our side that wouldn't get picked up by any AFL club if we let go off them. Pretty frightening thought.

Doesn't matter how many bad players we had. Watts was bad AND lacked any intensity and did not go near a fair dinkum contest for 2 weeks. If you Watts huggers are happy with that, then you well and truly deserve to cop the 2 weeks we've had and then some. NFI some people.

Don't expect to do very well this week, but I can see Gawn and Spencer in the following week,,

another weeks fitness for Gawn and he might come in, both "new" up against GWS,

about the same experience as the opposition ( I can be corrected ).

Jamar has not deserved a game for some years, (my opinion )

get Gawn and Spencer fit more than a match for Jamar and Sellar and future potential as well..

Go Dees, wish I could be there, first four games MIA and couple more to go, but at least I bought the memberships before the season

might not now, so disheartened but what the hell......

Watts and Blease out........... Don't agree with these at all.

Either do I. Blease was great in the one quarter he got 1st round and yes, had a poor one last week, but he is better than Byrnes, who IMO has been hopeless in both games. Long term as well we need games for Blease. This IMO is a pathetic selection. Great way to make another young player want to leave the club.

Disappointed Watts has been dropped and then has to put up with being an emergency. Tells me that it's likely a punishment instead of heading back to Casey to get some confidence about his game.

But then, maybe watching from the sidelines will at least give him an idea of how much he wants to be out there. I do feel for the guy, and hope he can make the most of his talent.

Hope they had a shave this week. Concentrate on their football instead of looking in the mirror to see how long the beard is.

If they can't play like real footballer, at least look like it. Get the big stick out Neald and bloody well thump the desk !!

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
