Who thinks we can beat WC?

Featured Replies

In the cold hard light of day we will get smacked. I just want some bloody effort, That's all I'm asking. Is this too much?

just saw the side and we will lose. see you all next week against Sculldog Millionaire

Only way we will win is if they are picked up by a Indian bus driver on Saturday and he takes them to waverly

???

either 2 things will happen.

1. Melbourne will put in a good effort and it will be a VERY tight game, maybe even Melbourne could snatch it. But they will put in a good hard bodied effort, showing some fight.

2. We will get smacked around and possibly lose by another 100.

There will be noinbetween 6 goal loss, it'll be clear cut.

Also WCE eagles havent won at the MCG since 2010.

I just can't for the life of me remember who that was against...

The lift button on the top level of the Ponsford Stand remembers that day explictly

Agree with this.

How many did the swans have in the gf? You dont need to have football skills to tackle.

What has schwab got to do with the number of tacklers we have

This will add to the current and past number of record scores against the dees

Not only a win for west coast but a record score if we play like last week

Also WCE eagles havent won at the MCG since 2010.

That's a surprising stat.

If we had 22 blokes who gave a [censored] and worked hard going both ways, we'd be in with a chance.

WC getting Kerr and LeCras back is going to hurt. I am only seeing one outcome.

Just please, please, EFFORT. Do NOT lose the tackle count.

I would love to see the Dees win! anything that would shut damien barret up for 5 seconds is a plus!

It's no longer matter of judging how much worse we are than our opposition by goals per game, but by goals per quarter.

I guessed before the game we were a 5 goal per quarter worse team than Essendon, and thus undervalued the Bombers!

Considering the Eagles aren't in the greatest form, I reckon 4 goals a quarter, so a 16 goal loss.

We're gonna set SOOOOO many records this year......

I've just whacked 10 bucks on us over 39 points @ $67... couldnt resist.

I have a gut feeling we will win.

Im off to the TAB

Getting a win tomorrow would really stick it up those extremist media flogs... Whatever happens tomorrow, I just hope the game is watchable.

Beating the eagles at the G possible

Reasons Why

Hopefully Kerr and Lecras play - under done and returning too quickly from injury

New players in team such as Jetta & Evans have pace and will have a serious crack at playing well and staying in the team

Eagles are not getting many forward entries at present.

Jamar can compete against a non spring heeled ruckman in Cox

Tappy to kick 4 in breakout game.

Clark and Trengrove to keep getting better each week after long layoffs

Go Dees we can win this game

I'm heading there with the optimism that fills me every weekend, no matter the result the week before.

I am dreaming of a tight fought win and the turning of the tide but really who knows what will happen, tis football!

All I know is even if we get hammered I'd be much happier there watching the game than working or doing God knows what else.

We won't win a quarter against the Eagles, watch how they strangle us with their press.

130+

we are dead set no chance

who's got $400,000 to place on a sure thing?

In 2010 no one gave us any chance agianst the pies and we did much better than expected.

We wont win a qtr if we play like last week.

Hopefully the Dees win some balls in the centre and not let opposition players run riot on their own.

Can we beat wc just to hear venom denham squirm on thursday when his team loses to a team that has been shocking. God that would make me happy.

That would shut the media up and ruin WC chances of a top four finish. Stranger things have happened. Go Dees.

Remember Geelong were a sure thing against the pies not long ago and they got beaten by 50+ points on a Friday night

Django, your first two lines equal mine every week.

But when we get hammered I turn into a raging nutter. I hate it. I become abusive and a road rager. I need to stop going for a while.

Don't underestimate Kerr. He will come back fit and ready to go. He will paste us. He plays for West Coast not Melbourne.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.
