I cannot beleive that you have posted such a negative post at the onset of the season, especially one giving your opinion that it will be the end of Mark Neeld. Obviously you have not bothered to read any of the training reports or given any thought to the fact that there is a completley new team running out onto the "G"

I've read al the training reports but its the same every year, all's l'm saying its a must win

If we want to take the sort of strides we are aiming for in 2013 we simply can't drop these sorts of games, and i don't think we will Dees by 60+

I can't wait for round one. A few months back I ordered tickets for Bruce Springstein(playing at Hanging Rock Winery) and got great seats near the front of the stage. To my dismay, I realised the concert clashed with round one. Without any hesitation, I have given the tickets away and will be there on Easter Sunday cheering the Dees on. I think we will win easily.

How come you did not send them to me?

If things go our way a 5 point victory if not 1 point win

Excellent.

I am surprised you would drop them in favour of the Dees.

1 game out of 22 to see The Boss.

I would have gone the other way.

One of my sisters lives next door I might go up and listen in.

I will be looking very keenly to the NAB Cup (and the first couple of rounds this season) for an indication of how far we've come since last year.

Yeah, yeah, I know what you're going to say about the NAB Cup; rested stars, exposing youth, not peaking too early etc etc. And, generally, I agree in principle. BUT .. throughout our recent down years, I've seen the same old pattern; we get embarrassed in the NAB*, we get embarrassed in the first few rounds, then we turn up the embarrassment levels for the season proper.

We need to show something during the NAB, and we need to convincingly beat Port. We don't, and put your money on another bottom four finish.

* excluding the odd exception, like beating the Pies at Etihad last year

Don't underestimate port.. there midfield is actually pretty impressive on paper but our forward line and backling you would think have them coverd.

Must win game

Let's just not be insipid.

I would take not being insipid.

Change is as good as a holiday and all that...

We mastered that last year rpfc

We are moving on in 2013 I think we have half decent in mind

If we just scrape in OD we are still ASWAP. We need to win comfortably to start regaining credibility in the comp.

I'd take a scrappy win to be honest.

Obviously keen on regaining credibility but I don't want us getting ahead of ourselves.

If big Mitch was playing I can see a decent score being kicked especially without Chaplin there anymore. Dawes will now receive the best defender and rarely dominates games (still love him as a recruit) and Pederson is a bit of an unknown.

Also an unknown will be about 95% of our team. I had to look at the MFC website matching player numbers with six6six's photos - which are amazing by the way and thank you so much. The team is really just getting to know each other. Who knows how they will go? We can only hope they click straight away.

I agree its a must win however, Ill be devastated if we lose as I was Rd 1 this year.

A win in the first round Bbo will be about 8 weeks better that 2012.

I will take any size win against Port in round 1 as a good sign

Remember we could not beat them anywhere last year

You can with friction. Bruce was wrong.

Rub two sticks together.

You can also start a fire with a magnifying glass.

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
