Come off it mate. I know you want to sound tough, but if you think that sort of thing is acceptable at a public concert you're just flat out wrong.

Not sure what you are getting at Stuie... I want to sound tough? Couldn't be further from the truth. I suggest you re-read what I wrote and you will then realise that I was saying that what was caught on that video showed very little more than a bit of a wrestle and that you do see worse things on the field of play. The post I was responding to was making it out to be some sort of major altercation in which lives were at risk.

And just for the record, I do not condone violence of any kind and at any venue.

Fair enough. But it's not on the field of play is it? It's at a public event with TOTALLY different standards.

Fair enough... don't know how old you are Stuie, but if you ever attended music events such as the Sunbury festivals, you would have felt safer on a footy field...and some of the worst offenders were the so-called security people (company run by a Bob Jones if memory serves).

Anyway, Robinson got his comeuppance and will hopefully think twice the next time (although somehow I doubt it).

Been to a stack, worked at a few, but never country one's, and by the sounds of it that's a good thing!

By all accounts Sunbury could be terrifying. Off topic - Sunbury 73 by Chris Wilson one of the great underrated songs. Sorry

I only went to the first Sunbury 3 day festival and it was, err, interesting. Big Chris Wilson fan all the way back to his Harem Scarem days...voice of an any and the harp from hell.

One of my old bestmates trained at/with Bob Jones, & sparred with his pretty boy champ, who went on to security for Linda Ronstadt I think it was?

In more recent times, Stan ran the Stkilda Inn, up til about 4 or 5 yrs back, & cleared out the Maori's who were bullying the other patrons.

He then renovated & opened the nightclub, before the building was sold.

Then he was moved out, before the current owner altered the building & reopened the bar.

If you ever get the chance, have a read of Bob Jones' biography, "Let the Good Times Roll". Tells of his time looking after all the big acts like the Stones, Bowie, Fleetwood Mac, Joe Cocker. Definitely enjoys puffing out his chest but man does that guy have some stories..if you're into the whole drugs, sex & rock n roll...and brutal violence.

Some of still remember the bogan's king hit on Rohan Bail at Casey in 2009. Added to his 'bruise free' comments Id love to see him eating dirt when he plays the Dees this year, Hopefully there is now enough mongrel in our side to give him his come uppance...

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

A couple of intrepid Demonland Trackwatchers headed down to Gosch's Paddock for the midweek Preseason Training Session to bring you the following observations. Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
