What questions are you going to ask at the AGM?

Happy to see anyone anytime putting their hands in their pockets for the club, but this would be more or less what used to be called barratry; in effect, buying a position on the board.

Board members ought to see being board members as enough to confer a vested interest on them.

Agree but many will take on the job for kudos benefits and not really have their heart in the right place; and it's not only to the MFC that this happens.

I believe that this was the case as regards Szondy and Gardner and if not it was incompetence.

Jimma; well that is another story!!

He had it all.

Add Gutnick to Szondy and Gardner.

It's a very prestigious position, and there are quite a few who would want to be on the Board of the MFC, it can lead to some very good business and social connections.

Irrespective of where we are and how bad we are traveling the top end of Collins Street is still there or in the background.

Back to what questions will be asked at the AGM, probably very few.

I would like to ask(2) questions

Has a succession plan been out into place to cover any loss of , and ,in particular senior executives.?

Has a National Recruitment Manager been placed on the MFC staff at this time.?

I would like to know why our fitness was so bad and why the current board allowed it to happen.

They will say 'we have the right people in place now' but that's what they said when Bohdan B was running the show. What benchmarks and monitoring have they got in place to demonstrate that we will never be put in that position again??

i agree Jnr. But don't forget the previous debt.

The club had no money and no facilities so to speak.

This has now changed and yes may it never be allowed to happen again.

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the

Join us LIVE on Monday night at 8:30pm—note that this special time is just for this week due to prior commitments. We'll break down the Match SIM against North Melbourne and wrap up the preseason with insights into training and our latest recruits. I apologize for skipping our annual season review show at the end of last season. After a disapponting season filled with off-field antics and a heated trade week, I needed a break. Thankfully, the offseason has recharged me, and I’m back—ready t
