Hearing rumours that the AFL will officially charge the club, Connolly, Bailey & Schwab with tanking. Don't shoot the messanger but my sources are usually pretty good.

*takes aim*

Here we go again, more paranoia.

Move along Deelanders nothing to see here!

Well deegirl says we're stuffed so I know I'm shaking in my boots.

Im pretty sure that if the club was about to be charged along with Larry Curly and Moe that Caroline would break the story before you.

I'm hearing similar rumours. Including AFL asking the club what they feel would be a suitable punishment.

Only a dysfunctional AFL could ask someone how they want to be punished.

Is Caro your source? im sure it would have been broken by the Age or Herald sun by now?

Any chance you could publish facts instead of speculation? Who are your sources?

If it's Deegirl from Demonology I believe she's virtually always on the money.

I would have thought it's quite a common practice from plea bargaining in criminal jurisdictions to employers asking employees what they think is appropriate under the circumstances when an employee has stuffed up.

Note, however, that I'm not commenting on whether it is or is not occurring in this particular instance.

Deeg is a troll, if she was not talking bs she would stay and reply to other post, and if it is so, then carlton is next, also anderson would still be there to take the gory to tell the world he was right to start the investgatiaon.d

No troll unfortunately, has been a poster on demonology for a few years now and when she posts mail like this its spot on.

Dees supporters don't take bad news very well, ey. Deegirl has been spot on with most things on 'ology. I'd take her word

Hard to make out what your point is amongst all the commas. But Deegirl isn't a troll.

She doesn't bother joining in the inane day to day musing of forum posters, but when she does post its spot on.

Put the farm on it: our nuts are in a vice.

And, off to court we go....

I volunteer we give up the Crows' first two picks in 2012.

And, off to court we go....

If, as is mentioned above, we are debating (bargaining) penalties it won't go to court.

Someone else with usually good sources posted recently that there would be no charge.

However I think if we get through to Christmas and this investigation is still running, I would be very concerned that we will be charged with something.

If it is going to be a no charge then now is the time to announce it while the media are out to lunch.

AFL could be looking for a compromise and release the details over the "quiet" Christmas period.

Would the club sacrifice one of their own as the fall guy to this to save further penalties?

If it's Deegirl from Demonology I believe she's virtually always on the money.

well then lets hope this is one of the times when she gets it wrong :)

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
