The Filth Delistings today

Collingwood have de-listed 5 senior listed players. Cameron Wood, Simon Buckley, Jonathan Celgar, Luke Rounds and Kirk Ugle have all been told that they will be given a new contract in 2013.

Except for Buckley obviously, any of these guys worth a look come PSD Ceglar or Rounds maybe ?

Wow that Woods/Grimes/Johnstone 3 way trade really worked out for us. At least that was 1 trade where we came out looking good. I dont think the other are worth looking at. Only Neeldy knows that.

I'd happily take Buckley back has some pace .

Buckley possibly for some pace off a wing.

Rounds possibly for that defensive forward role to sit on the oppositions best rebounding defender. But only if we have more delistings. otherwise it's a pass for me.

Buckley was a spud when he was with us, I was staggered when Collingwood took him. Picking him up again would be a ridiculous decision. If we're looking at ex-MFC players who have pace and absolutely nothing else, why stop with Buckley? Might as well bring back Jace Bode and Luke Williams while we're there.

I liked the look of Ugle... but didn't perform on the big stage.

Luke Rounds would be a small chance I think, he is tough and works hard.

Couldn't stop laughing at those who at times asked "why is Buckley a star at Collingwood, but was useless for us?"

Laughable to even suggest picking him up.

They are very light on for ruckmen and I'm surprised they didn't go after Stef Martin when we were negotiating with them for Dawes.

If the aging Jolly goes down, they're really cactus.

The big O has been spotted doing the rounds at Westpac Centre, more than once I might add!

In short, no.

A big NO to all of them

PS: Tingles, you might want to edit your post: Cameron Wood, Simon Buckley, Jonathan Celgar, Luke Rounds and Kirk Ugle have all been told that they will not be given a new contract in 2013.

Delist Spencer and get Wood. Rate him much higher.

Gee, Spencer is still on his first list & has some schitt about him, well liked as well, & you reckon Cameron has the Wood on him  pardon the pun, i think we'd better stay with Spencer for a year & see how he goes. B)

I can't remember one Lander claiming Buckley was a star at the Filth

Sure you haven't got your Buckley's mixed up?

Depends if Neeld rates any of them, only one out of that list you'd look at would be Wood, depends if he's less of a battler than Spencil I guess.

Says alot when they and others did not go for Martin. Hmm

Would not touch Cameron Wood with a barge pole.......Big pass

Lol love the creativity. I see the mongrel in Spencer but he is still just too ungainly and uncoordinated I think. From what I've seen of Wood he isn't too bad and would be good insurance, which is what Spencer is anyway.

Nothing to see there. A reminder though, that even the strong clubs pick up their share of spuds. It's not exclusively our domain.

Except their spuds are usually a better standard than our spuds.

Let US go forward and not back.

Lets not compound any sillyness either by helping others !

No - they have so many good footballers flicking the ball around it wasnt hard for Buckley to look in a couple of games.

Funny, was just telling a Collingwood supporter they should pick him up for a backup in case Jolly goes down, gives more time to develop the almost mythical Witts.

Isn't this why they went for Lynch? An each way bet on rucking and forward.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
