Aaron Edwards

Whenever I've watched Aaron Edwards play for the Roos, I've wondered why he doesn't get more opportunity.

He's one of the best set shots in the competition, is a great mark and can rotate through the midfield. I reckon the Dees should sound him out.

Thoughts?

yes. Petrie is Kangas number one go to Man... I like Edwards. Not going to happen though. Will you call Harrington or me?

Very inconsistent though.....has 2 or 3 great games, then goes missing for a month or so.

I still believe he takes a great grab and is quite a physical player.

I think the inconsistencies have come from having Petrie getting all the intention and most midfielders kicking at drew

I'd take him in a heartbeat. Is there any danger that he will leave the Roos?

dont think there is even a chance we are looking at him.

Would be a horrible pickup anyway, so inconsistent and shows in patches what he can do

and has about as much consistency as Richmond

Can take a speccy, can kick a goal, but one of those forwards who has too much down side. Lacks height and can't compete unless given a run at the footy, not quick and unable to exert defensive pressure and can be hurt the other way.

Not what Neeld would be looking for, too one dimensional which is why despite his talent he struggles to get a game.

Already adding to the culture at Tigerland - Intoxicated Tiger fined

That was day 1.

Hilarious.

How drunk would you have to be to cop a fine?

I reckon falling over ,stumbling pi55ed.

He was blind....to the point he was unable to inform a cab driver of his residential address, yet refused to leave the cab.

Apparently he was out celebrating with fellow Tiger recruit Dees Dayz, a couple of losers adding some more loserness to a loser club.

Deez Dayz turned out nothing like I had planned.

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

  • POSTGAME: West Coast
