Yeah I think Dawes would be a decent pick up as long as we don't have to give up much trade wise and Collingwood pay half his contract.

Paying for contracts brings up a valid option that could be utilised by our front office as we have cash and Collingwood don't, especially if they want to pick up Tippet. In the Dawes trade (which I broke a month ago get around me) we could pay part of Martin's contract and in return we get another draft pick I.e. their late second rounder which would save them cap room and frees up one more spot on their list for their Free Agents

Tim seems very confident about Viney.

Hopefully we make a stand.

Yeah!Let him go at 2!

Let's make a stand against GC trying to dictate our recruiting policies by letting GC dictate our recruiting policies...

I listened to it and I thought it was non commital on everything.

Anyone who thinks we will let Viney go to the Gold Coast (assuming they are mad enough to use their pick 2 on another player who like Caddy and Toy will want out as soon as possible which is ofcourse very unlikely) is wrong Im afraid. I dont care what i hear officially on this topic because I know for a fact that we will use pick 3 if we have to. mark my words :) But that being said I didnt take from this interview that we werent going to use pick 3 on him, rather we had not made an assessment of that yet and it depended on what was available for our live pick 2 (pick 3 if GC nominate Viney).

Caddy is not worth pick 13 for mine. Ive gone and had a look at his stats and some footage I found and I think Viney looks better already to be honest. Use pick 13 and a trade for Wellingham.

Dawes will be a done deal. No other team would want Dawes. Having said all that who knows..maybe he can be the "transformer" and we sure need some toughness.

dawes is just in poor form. A year or so ago he was a very accurate kick for goal and was right along side cloke as their big forwards! everyone from collingwood that play along side him cannot praise him enough for his work rate, he could have a turn around like clark did this season! i don't think he would be as good as clark but he would be a decent pick up :)

Almost, but you're not certain.

If it happens that two year running we get screwed by the expansion teams !!

How's about they fu#k off and target some stronger clubs !!!

We get a hard edged strong bodied mid dished to us on a plater yet some how there is the posability that we well get screwed !!

Hasn't enough bad luck been passed our way ....

Pick 3 for Caddy to replace scully.

Pick 4 for hogen (mini draft)

Pick 13 for daws

Viney second round pick

DONE.

Pick 3 for Caddy! I think pick 13 is overs... Toumpas has to a viable choice...

Dawes in general has been a good player. Im surprised they are looking at giving him the arse after one poor year... Confidence is the key.

Well if your in a club like collingwood with some meany high priced players that's how hard it's to stay in the team.

If this is how this off season pans out, I will soil myself. That scenario represents overs for Caddy and ridiculous overs for Dawes.

I just can't believe that you think Melbourne are that stupid to be showing their hand to anyone.

It's just a game of Charades.

We will know only when it happens.

Should be pick 13 for Wellingham or Caddy....whoever wants it first.

Dawes trade for Martin

3 for Viney (if we dont get Caddy)

4 for Wines or Toumpas

If we do get Caddy for 13 then 3 and 4 will be for Wines and Toumpas , or one of those and Hogan.

and Viney second round

I think we hold some pretty good cards....good draft picks, players to trade and some cash to entice the right player.

Im fairly confident we will end up with some good wins here.

Two or three established players to bolster our midfield and attack, and a couple of the best kids available.

Make a stand, or cut off our nose to spite our face?

Everyone who thinks we are going to pass on Viney- I feel sorry for your naive little gullible brains.

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had
