Can't believe a guy in a team that won 3 games is favourite for the Chas, even if it is Gaz Jnr.

I've had a little flutter on Kennedy, Mitchell, and Thompson. Kennedy is my hot tip, averaged 28 touches for a top 4 team. Thompson averaged just under 30 in the 2nd place team, but the umps don't seem to like him, so who knows?!

Who are you guys tipping? (Range Rover don't bother answering, cos we all know who you think is the greatest AFL player ever)

Just not sure if their teams won enough games... Also, I don't know the figures, but in the last 10-15 years it seems like the Brownlow has quite often gone to someone from a team in the Grand Final

Never used to be that way stuie.

Go back a little way and it was quite often won by someone from a middle to lower ranked side.

Theory was that a good player in those teams did not have many other players in their team taking votes.

But I have to admit lack of interest in recent years has reduced my knowledge.

Personally I think it should be renamed the Mid field players award

You would need to be the defender of the century to get a vote let alone win

Yes the Defenders & forwards to a lesser degree have every right to be feeling Peeved tonight.

When are they ever invited or even considered to drink all those Crownies on Camera? As for the Red Carpet, who cares. I would rather attend The Mens Gallery up the road!!!

Since 2000, the Brownlow winner has been from a GF team 9 out of 12 times...

2011 Dane Swan

2009 Gary Ablett

2007 Jimmy Bartel

2006 Adam Goodes

2005 Ben Cousins

2003 Nathan Buckley

2002 Simon Black

2001 Jason Akermanis

2000 Shane Woewodin

Sam Mitchell.

He's a mid fielder.

He's blonde.

His team won more games than any other team.

He gets a lot of touches.

He is perceived to be a fair player.

no. Good luck to him. I still believe we didn't try hard rnough to keep him here. Our midfield has been rubbish ever since he left.

Apologies to Jonesy.

Fixed. Better season than what tho?

Sorry. Than last year. Something like 8 games over 40 possessions this year.

he polled 23 last year.

Swan had 34 last year. Mitchell 30*.

But his team got smashed every week pretty much, plus Bennell would take a few votes. I reckon GC were better last year than this year so I would expect him to get about the same amount of votes.

Kennedy is still my top tip, tons of possies in a top 4 team, and Goodes had an average year so I think JK will get most of the attention. Under the radar a bit because he's not from a Vic club.

Mate I believe that ST was going home to play for Adelaide from the day he was drafted.

My clear memory of that time was similar to TS.

The day TS took a two year deal I knew was not going to stay, family said sit it out for two years and see what develops.

My memeory of ST was that his family wanted him home in Adelaide.

It would not have mattered who drafted him he was going back home sooner or later.

I have never thought of him as a player we lost because I never believed he wanted to be anywhere else but home in Adelaide.

The dees were just a stop alone that journey.

No Thompson or Dangerfield? Easily the best 2 players in the 2nd placed team. Or are you figuring they'll steal votes of each other too much?

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

Some veteran Demonland Trackwatchers ventured down to Gosch's Paddock to bring you the following observations from another Preseason Training Session. WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

A couple of intrepid Demonland Trackwatchers headed down to Gosch's Paddock for the midweek Preseason Training Session to bring you the following observations. Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
