Ken Fletcher told me that Gumbleton was seen as a gun forward when they drafted him and a lead up player who could kick goals.

Well he wasn't picked at pick 3 because he was a [censored] forward who couldn't lead or kick goals...

Not all players who are rated highly in the draft bring it at AFL level so I would suggest that unless you have something pleasant to say then you say nothing at all Rhaz and Trenners. Take Jack Watts. He was a number one draft pick who will take considerable time before he is turned into a key position player.

Yes, but the weeks Gumbelton has been injury free and playing he has proved himself as a key position player a hell lot more then Jack Watts.

Gumbleton has shown he can preform, AFL level..... He just has to get on the park..... His lack of game time from injury, is alarming....

The Bombers always over price, there fringe players.... They are very difficult to get a win win trade with....

Happy for the club to take a risk with Gumbleton, but only at a reasonable price....

Yep definitely don't want to be stung on a deal, although the bombers are only offering him one year so the fact that his contract is over could work as a bit of leverage.

offer him 2 years basic wage but with great bonuses for games played.

Obviously I've been a big supporter of the club making a move on Gumby. I think if we can keep him fit he'd be a huge bonus and a big help to Mitch up forward. If we could snare him with a later pick then it would be a huge bonus. I wouldn't want to give too much up for him though. I saw on Bigfooty that someone suggested a swap for Petterd. I would probably be happy with that, although it would be better with a pick thrown our way as well.

His had way to meany injuries, probably only play a hand full of games for us if we got him.

Mate you must have absolutely no understanding of other clubs and opposition players if you think we could get gumbleton and a pick for Petterd. That is laughable.

Doubt he'd agree to this knowing that he would probably miss 75 percent of possible games (if past seasons are anything to go by).

Funny thing. A bombers guy on Bigfooty thought it would be a bargain in their favour. Every club has their whipping boys.

No thanks, if they don't want him I'm sure as hell we don't. Plus he has done nothing, when he has got on the park, to prove he is much better than VFL level; he the type of players we are trying to get rid of.

provided he can shake his injuries i'm all for us getting him :) he has already shown that when he is fit he can easily cut it at this level. it would be a risk but if it pays off!

I thought he had shown he was quite good when fit robbie, he is an injury risk but if no better forward options come through i think we could do alot worse than partnering him with Clark. Can Mark and has a good size body. I thoguht he was getting the best run in recent memory this season at the Dons also. worth a thought if nothing else.

28 Games in six years and they would probably want a top player or a high draft pick in return; nah.

Bombers are notoriously bad traders, always asking way over the odds for their players. The flip side of this is that we don't have to agree to what they ask. He's still well and truly worth making an offer on.

They can have Cook and as a bonus they can keep Gumbleton; now that's fair.

Issues about his body and he is slooowwww and not mobile. Not agile enough for CHF and wont play deep when we have Clark.

Not overly fussed particularly when we have Sellar in a pinch hit role.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
