Melbourne has none that actually kick goals

the 'FLASH' used too, a.maric left last year, k.lawrence(rookie) never played a game but went home the other week and jetta's only got 19 from 33

whos left.........trengrove is too busy in the middle, jonesy is gettin a few but.......yer

we need goal kicking small fowards

betts would be untouchable(an too old) but is ellard??? or gartlett for the right price?

jetta, colyer or davey all fight for the same spot(davey vs davey for the crum or jetta vs jetta but dontknow if latter related)

brad hill for the hawks never gets a game (but only a first year and more of a wing)

matt cambell or linsay thomas from north may be too old and injured respectivly but both kick well one can kick goals

mitch banner port only seen a few times but wanted a trde back last year didnt get it and they havnt played him this year

jarred moore or brett meridith from the swans are a few names?

some are potentially gettable and ive missed heaps of others but they are all better than sum of the little duds we've listed in the past

think we should squeez out a supplementry small from a team with heaps or a team witch cannot use them

Jarred Moore and Shannon Byrnes are both free agents.

They should be top of our list.

Ben Kennedy in this years draft is one that i am red hot on. He has pace, explosive pace, has great disposal, can find the footy, is a natural small forward and is very capable in the midfield, both receiving and extracting. The only thing holding back from definite top 5 is his height. Would love to get him at pick 13, but if we are able to snag Viney with a 2nd rounder, i'd be very willing to bring Kennedy to the Dees with pick 4 after getting Toumpas with pick 3.

Leaving pick 13 for us to draft another kid or trade to bring in another mid.

We've already got Sam Blease, but we could definately do with another of his type, one in the middle and one in the forward line!

Hawthorn have number of small forwards. I'd go after:

Luke Bruest or Shane Savage or Paul Puopolo

all in good form and sorta cult figures down there

would take somthing big for a trade...... seriously big

Posted

Adam Cockie from Sandringham who can play relief midfield

Never paid much attention too him, but hear his name on ABC VFL all the time

does he know where the goals are??? whats he on for the year? and who else is intrested

I know the OP didn't actually say Jetta is a small forward.... But I just want to clarify anyway.

Neville Jetta has never been (mid for WA his entire junior career) and never will be a small forward.

He is a midfielder, just because he isn't a giant and he is an indiginous player doesn't mean he is a small forward...

Neville's strengths are his strong body, winning contested footy, setting up goals with clever kicks and his ability to manouver in traffic. These are strengths found in mids, not small forwards.

I would love us to get Ben Kennedy, a small nuggety player with real Zip thru the middle & forward would be fantastic...

If we can't get Kennedy, I wouldn't mind Travis Colyer from the Bombers. I liked what i saw of him in the U-18's a couple of years ago, li9ked his run & carry & step thru traffic.

If we dont trade Pick 13. Im hoping Ben Kennedy will slip too us.

GRUNDY, Kennedy & Viney would have all been SA team mates. Yes. GRUNDY!

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
