Of course Moloney remains for another week. God knows why.

Talking bout Spencer...re:Moloney..he'll kick Tigers backside

agreed, will also find it impossible to score, somehow we are fielding a side that has NONE of Green, Davey, Clark, Petterd or Jurrah, and has Watts in the backline. FMD.

Take Davey off the list. Runs on the spot these days. We must keep dreaming about Garland kicking 5.

I am starting to lose a modicum, (just a modicum) of faith in the football dept and selection rationale!

FWIW I hope there are two last minute changes and both Cook and Petterd both come in because

I'm blowed if I can see how we can kick a winning score based on our forward options!

The only possible scenario which might just be played out is finally, mercifully and well overdue is

Jack Watts returnes to forward line. Won't put my house on it though!!

As for Jamie Benell not sure if he is a poor man’s Morton or the other way around.....

Upon reflection I have him ahead of Morton but cheezus we are in strife if his reported form at Casey is any guide and he gets a game on the strength of??!

And oh yes, why, why was Couch upgraded when clearly the footy dept won't play him surely 27 odd hard won possessions earns him a game and if what I have read is true any rookie can be upgraded the second half of the season.

As I said a modicum of doubt is creeping in... stand by...

Gotta keep his trade value up.

but the more games he plays the more his value slides! (moloney that is).

Sadly I have to agree.

The trouble with Moloney is that the opposition are all over him. He can only turn right, kick right foot, handball right hand and only sees the right hand side of the ground. Any assistant coach worth his salt, can teach even your average stopper to over play Moloney's right hand side and that is the end of Moloney for the game. He might get eight or nine scrambled possessions but that is it. It's not his fault that he is limited. It is our problem that we expect him to do more than he is capable of agianst quality opposition.

If it's not his fault he's limited, then whose fault is it? His mother? Dean Bailey? God?

We do have a lot on our list who are not proficient on their opposite side . Craig's fault ? Barry's ? Jack Watts ?

were gonna get destroyed

Yes our inability to kick decent scores has been a concern for some time and is now a disaster without Jurrah and clark. Come trade time, forwards must be our priority.

As to getting "destroyed". I have two good reasons for hoping this does'nt happen. First. Can you imagine the tattooed tongues of their supporters carping about how they won with half a team etc. etc. It would be enough reason to open an artery. Second I have placed a moderate wager on the Dees at $5.20.

Love the lead up to this game. We look rubbish on paper, especially in the forward line.

Tigers re-read their own press from a month ago and think we're gonna be an easy beat...

... then BANG! the Stefan Martin Experience explodes on their smirking whiskered faces.

Just like with the Bombers, lull them, then smack them.

Better go and do my vocal exercises,

cause there's gonna be sing'n this weekend...

Are you suggesting we should relax because we've got this?

I'm feeling slightly optimistic this weekend, but in Dees supporter style I am keeping the lid screwed on tightly!! I'd be feeling a whole lot better if the Russian was back in. I agree that the gaping hole is in the forward line, but we knew that was going to be a challenge the second we lost Mitchy. Who knows, stranger things have happened before, we did beat Essendon!! The emergencies are suspicious to me, I wouldn't be surprised to see some late changes, but that might be wishful thinking. Richmond are there for the taking this week with everything that has been going on at their club and the players they have lost through injury. We should be able to take it up to them, I do not want to see another 10 goal loss, and if a few things go our way then we might find ourselves on top.

Unfortunately, the most likely scenario if there is to be a late change has to be Jones missing out because he hasn't fully recovered. I hope that's not the case. But if it is, I'd rather bring in Cook and have at least one key position forward, even though it's not a like-for-like change.

Not sure you should worry about that one LDC

We lost two tall guys from sunday and relaced them with 2 shorties.

One of which could not get a kick in a football factory.

Why?

As an aside, would Addam Maric be in our best 21 had we not delisted him?

All I can say RB is he is in a side that has won 6 games and belted us a few weeks ago.

He is as good as Bennell and Bail.

And kicks straighter than Mckenzie

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
