If it were prescription medication, then Richmond would be open to a really serious restraint of trade action (or alternatively workplace bullying).

Not buying it.

This explanation would obviously come with a few hundred grand in brown paper bags to shut up and exit quietly.

It just seems convenient that sleeping pills have been in the news lately.

My line of thinking CB.

I wonder if these two had anything to do with a Grand Piano ?

... and have done the trick for turning tabloid disgust into tabloid sympathy (and into tabloid anger at those nasty doctors who prescribe them!).

I've no doubt the draw was one of the first things they looked at before handing out the suspension.

I am sure it is just coincidence!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They've clearly used sleeping pills as an excuse to focus the discussion on something that was just starting to sprout its head in the media.

Carlton must be thanking Richmond right now.

But it will be all back on late Friday night when the pies fix them up to the tune of 10 goals

Best since Cotchin I'd say.

Didn't they just admit it it......

I meant prescribed too :)

who really knows what they admitted

using prescribed drugs without a prescription can be an offence depending on what the drugs are

(some prescription drugs can be bought over the counter without a scrip)

depending on the circumstances could be an offense for both the taker and the giver

it would probably be a minor offence though

p.s. i'm not a lawyer so caveat emptor

You do need a perscription to get Stilnox DC.

The question in my mind is how many would they have taken to sleep in that long and when did they take them

3.00 AM?

Me thinks there is more to this and it seems a harsh penality for Martin if he over slept one training session.

There is more to Martins behaviour then we know.

However he can come and play for the Dees anyday for mine.

Hell I will pay for his Stilnox

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
