How true it is. The first game when he's looked like he's given a genuine toss and we look infinitely better.

Saw the Jamar/Moloney connection for the first time for the season tonight, hope it's on the way back

The silence surrounding Sellar's improved showing is almost deafening; not to mention that of Morton.

doesn't the media make you want to vomit - we are in front at half time and Watts has a few touches, instantly they turn from labelling him a soft spud and a wasted no.1 pick to praising him, even though he had exactly the same game 2 weeks ago and nobody said boo

dheads

carn dees, look what a little effort and heart can do

Really? Don't think either has done so much that I'd be calling that yet... They haven't been bad, and Sellar's desperation has been good, but really don't think either has done enough yet that you can tell people to shut up about them

Loving the effort and intensity tonight. Starting to run and spread too. Another half like that and I will be happy. A win would be a plus.

The TV commentary referred to a change in Neeld's game plan - players playing naturally - I didn't hear all of the comments - can anyone please explain? (I did, of course, see the play, but screen vision is limited.)

Sorry, who was just talking up Morton....?

That goal was his fault, too soft and indecisive with the ball

Excuse me? I was telling people to shut up? Hmmm.

you were saying how quiet everyone has been about them, and that's cos they haven't done that much yet

Sellar has been very reliable in defence and Morton, despite one mistake has been getting involved...take off the blinkers for Christ sake! And I would have thought the use of the words "silence is deafening" might have given away hat I was suggesting the opposite to shutting up.

Blease sore from that earlier contest, probably a corky

I think they said groin on the radio

Love how posters here pick out one moment and use it to say that player has been awful all game...

Sylvia has been ok, not good, but ok, the effort has been there at least and he's looking hungry for a change

OK, I'll give you a few examples.

Twice I counted he gave up on his man in our forward 50 and they went inside 50 as a result. Blazed away a few times too.

Lifted this half however.

No blinkers mate, both have made an effort, but hardly good enough to shut up the critics yet

I wasn't suggesting any such thing...I was suggesting that those who are willing to criticism for the most innocuous of mistakes remain silent whenever they do something worthwhile.

haha fair enough mate, I'll cop that. Only said he cost us a goal though, didn't say he was having an awful game.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
