Please explain Don and Cam

Just went on SEN to talk to KB and the DR and said all us members want Cam Schwab and Don McLardy to come out and talk to us about what the hell has happen since 186.

And I'm sure someone involved in the club will have heard me talking and I hope they will finally call a meeting to give us members some home truth's about our plan and why 4 years into a 5 year rebuild we are so bad.

2010 looked like we were ticking all the right boxes and now we find ourselves worse off than 2008 IMO.

Don and Cam please as a club let's get all the crap out that is killing this club so we can all move on as a united club PLEASE. Trident member of the MFC.

they arnt going to publicy state that they are tanking

they arnt going to publicy state that they are tanking

Oh please !!!!. The "T" word - if that is indeed what is happening - can provide no credible argument or justification for what we are witnessing at present. It is just an unadulterated cop out if that is the case.

You speak for all the members?

I have it on reliable information that a 42-year-old, self-made, semi-retired multi-millionaire from down Geelong way has already been approached about taking over as CEO."

Geez Bing, I know what you're saying here, but bloody hell, the bloke (Big Jim) is as passionate as the rest of us on here. You're not the only one that comes this "you speak for all of us" business when another support states "we members...", I just don't see the need in pulling someone up on it.

If what Big Jim is asking, and some members agree, then I'll listen if CS/DM speak. There's plenty of times where I think we need to be told something that others won't agree with, and I'm sure you're in the same boat.

These are tough times at the MFC for all involved, especially the die hard fans that post on these sites, just give a few of them a bit of slack hey?

I don't know how reliable the information from some unknown Western Australian blogger would be... (Especially one calling Watts a "dead duck" after a 34 possession game, rated by Champion Data as second best on ground behind Kieran Jack)

Brad Hardie and reliable information are normally 2 mutually exclusive subsets.

No doubt Schwab is under pressure. And after the debacle pre and post 186 I was struggling to see how he would continue past his current contract extension.

Written by Brad Hardie from Western Australia....shall wait & see on this one.

I have no problems with the current board, but they must come clean with the members on the current situation.

They do have certain answers. C'mon Don...here cometh the hour.

Brilliant! I certainly don't have the solutions, but I do one thing. Knee jerk reactions driven by populous sentiment is not the way to grow or improve. Clearly things need improvement and change is probably necessary, but let’s not create more scandal, uncertainty and media attention.

What the club really needs is some hard work from those there, some considered changes and a month out of the media.

On the other hand if it is inevitable then do it sooner rather than later, and lets hit rock bottom (if we haven't already).

Rock Bottom? We hit that after 186 and haven't budged since.

Bravo to you Big Jim! Melbourne supporters for whatever reason rarely passionately ring up SEN, it's usually full of Richmond, Dons and Blues suppoers.

I've always wanted to ring up but as I'm a teacher I am unable to.

Well done! I want the world to know that the MFC supporters won't stand for this no longer!

Good onya BJ. Dr. Turf rocks

I dont

Quite get what ppl want from Cam and Don. This is about the footy not the clubs fiscal wellbeing. They have nothing really at present to do with how woeful most of the players are performing. So many barking up the wrong tree.esp media idiots like Walls.

Really?????!!!!!. Walls has played in premiership sides, coached a premiership side, coached bottom sides. He knows alright. He knows much more than you and me combined.

If anyone on here reckons football departments work in isolation to the overall administration of a footy club, then they are delusional.

BB59 the board knows what is going on. Do not kid yourself there mate....

I think it is inevitable and should have been handled with Bailey after the Geelong game and yes lets get it done sooner so we can get on with this season without any more distractions.

They were too involved in the on-field stuff around the time of Dean Bailey's sacking. Even if they've since learned their place, the fact that they're still there and Dean Bailey isn't probably pisses the players off immensely. I'm right behind any move that gets those involved in 186 out of my club - and yes, that includes the off-field admin (not to mention the players themselves).

May mean nothing but I was at the airport yesterday around the same time as the club. Cam Schwab was first to grab his bags and stormed off well ahead of the players bar Jones. Who looked like he had to be somewhere. Last in leaving the terminal was McLardy.

Perhaps Cam had to be first on the plane to count our players getting on, and McLardy was last as he needed to make sure there were no players being left behind. :)

BB, as the CEO, Schwab's responsibility is general across the organisation. He and McLardy should be just as across the footy stuff as they are across the ledger book. If they're not then who the hell is?!

Sorry Oucher

There are half a dozen We would not miss.

Could we get them to defect to Rugby League?

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
