One other thing - when Grimes got hit not one SINGLE player went to his defence!!!! A 20 odd game 22 year old player who is in his first year as Capitan gets hit and no-one helps him out!!!! Just goes to show what a bunch of pea hearts we have representing our club. Our current playing group as a whole makes me sick!

Well it has often been rumored that our players only play for the money. It would be irresponsible for them to get involved in actions that may cause them financial pain. Best to let your teammate sink than be hit with a hefty fine. Looking after No 1 is the golden rule at the club.

BB I hope you are not suggesting the Romans invented the brick?

Well they had more chances of inventing bricks than the Jewish population back then, at least according to George Pell.

The players seem to have lost any spirit and are totally demoralised

They cannot be this bad

Something is terribly wrong

Neeld seems to have 'lost' the players

Nothing seems to make any sense anymore

If players are "lost" it is because they had it so easy in the (NB)/ND/DB years and don't actually know what hard work is all about.

Don't know what match hardness is all about.

Don't know what gut running is all about.

Don't know what team work and sacrifice of one's own game is all about.

If ANY player doesn't like the new regime, they know where the door is.

IF we had appointed another "players mate" our doom would be sealed. I am glad some players may not like him - if they have the fortitude to stick around, work hard and honour their teammates, they will I am sure also enjoy the success that will follow.

Those complaining about the free kick count need to get real. The free kick count was in West Coast favour because of 2 reasons:

1. West Coast were first in for the ball

2. We were constantly tacking West Coast players high

Any young person learning to play the game is always taught to tackle the hips. What on earth were some of the MFC gooses doing out there? Seriously, it was probably a world record of high tackles paid in one game. We are a terrible team as is - we can't afford to be giving away a mountain of unnecessary free kicks!!!!! The Players cannot even grasp a basic fundamental tackling technique. How on earth will they ever carry out a complicated game plan when they can't even grasp the basics? Shocking!!!

We gave away 9 tackles in the match for too high.

Are you saying in a half of football we should only have received 1 free kick? Dream on.

He was talking about architecture and engineering. He must have mean't the Brick Veneer House.

Well on bricks and inventing fired bricks he was probably incorrect as they were the "bricklaying caste" in Pharaonic Egypt 2000 years prior, so they had plenty of opportunity and time.

But to be serious for a moment, the idea of fired bricks was very ancient, it just wasn't practical for economic and fuel reasons for it to become "substantial" in building

What a waste of time that Quanda episode was, sheesh!

its not hard for us to get completely off topic is it ? lol...

Then again its easier and more preferable the worse the team plays :)

Well upon joining the Demons Neeld made the brazen prediciton that in 2012 all teams will have "known they have played Melbourne "

Memo to Mark...im sure they do....and whenever they can stop laughing Im sure they'll file it away as a day to remember !!

We wont bother with another other predictions as they are simply too darn silly !!

Only two games in you goon!

Well, thanks for that advice, I feel so much better now. You re so wise.

Two games ?? Mate Im over a 1000 games in....what Ive seen so far from the players this season is right up there with the most insipid and lacklustre performances ive ever witnessed in red and blue.

They have shown 3/5 of bugger all. About 5 blokes can at least feel like theyve had a crack.

You obviously arent too bright otherwise you would have understood the tenet of my ribbing.

Mark himself realised all but moments after emmitting such grandiose ideas about Melbourne in 2012 ( upon arriving in 2011 ) that it might come back to haunt him rather quickly. Its happened at light speed.

I actually think Neeld will enjoy success at Melbourne, as will we all but its a long and arduous road ahead and an almighty clean out ( again ) will have to happen during this season to re-establish some sort of foundation upon which to build a team.

So moocow...im not privvy to how long youve followed this team but I have for a long while and what Im seeing presently masquerading as a football team is just this side of laughable. That simply ought not be the case. There is some genuine talent and ability but we seem perennially unable to turn potential into actual.

I hadnt expected much in the ways of wins to date but competitiveness and ownership of 'roles' certainly.

So MooCow...please share your insight

I agree with most of your post but dont see the need to refer to another supporter in derogatory or demeaning tones. No need to call him not too bright I too would be happy to see any insight he has which incidently may show that hes brighter than you think>

Something I expected Neeld to do was to get them to play more as a team, which they did only sporadically under Bailey, and have never done since 186. Somehow, they are playing even less as a team now. Once Neeld starts to get them to play as a team rather than a set of individuals, we'll be on the way. IMHO, that's the main factor that's missing, for whatever reason.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
