Possibly Norman Banks is the commentator in the 1st part ( 60 secs ) . In the 2nd part I reckon it's Ian Cleeland with Ian Major and right at the end it's Norman Banks again . Though I stand corrected .

There is a strange "humming" sound in the 1st part as well . Like a bored child !

Yes, thanks again Bush demon. Like 'Macca' I have never seen footage of Crompton's goal. i couldn't get tickets to the GF and was at home listening on the radio. I was up on a ladder painting the roof gutters for the nail biting finish. It's a wonder I didn't come a cropper!

I was there! One of the highlights of my football-following life. I was 13, my brother 15. My father got two tickets to the Grand Final and gave them to us. Sadly, my father is no longer with us and my brother now supports the Dogs. There's two things in life you should never change, your religion and your football team. As far as I'm concerned they're one and the same.

No way, football is much more important than religion with the added bonus that it's real. I told the missus I don't care if she wants to baptise the kids catholic or whatever but when it comes to footy they'll be following the Demons.

How the Hell did your Brother end up supporting the Westies??

Why would you? Their last 5 decades have actually been worse than the Demons....Do remind him of that!!

I was there also. Mum Dad both essendon & Bro.also a demon. We sat in Row A near the old Practice wicket area Q??

Dad started to move us out as he thought it all over. We got to the end of the row and started to walk up the aisle. I turned around just in time to see Froggy throw the ball onto his boot, and through the goals, hence our early departure was delayed about 1/2 an hour. Although I also saw 1960 this one was very special as I was really starting to understand football, rather than collecting empty soft drink bottles in 1960. A lot of disappointments have followed but I wouldn't change it for the world.

Thanks. I too was there in Row A with 13 yr old brother. Around about old Bay 13 area.

Unfortunately can't remember too much of the detail - more about the getting of the tix and the lead up to the game.

Been buying a Premium membership for the last 23 years to ensure getting tickets to the next one.

    With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.

    The 40,000 seat $319 million redeveloped Kardinia Park Stadium was nowhere near capacity last night but the strong, noisy contingent of Melbourne supporters led by the DeeArmy journeyed to Geelong to witness a high-quality battle between two of the best teams in AFLW.   The Cats entered the arena to the blasting sounds of Zombie Nation and made a hot start kicking the first 2 goals.     The Mighty Demons take on the confident Cats this Saturday night at the recently completed $319 million redeveloped GMHBA Stadium, with the bounce of the ball at 7:15pm.
