I won a thousand dollar Harvey Norman voucher on the old Fox Footy thanks to Mr and Mrs Anthony McDonald belting some goose from Footscray and his wife on their shortlived players + partners gameshow.

Here's to more content filler shows like that!

  • 2 weeks later...

Have just been on the phone to Foxtel and they said they will extend the $50 'get started' deal that was supposed to expire on 12th Nov.

This includes 36 channels plus the Sports package which has 10 channels (covering all AFL) on a 12 month contract.

Just went SD and only the one box. Multi room was another $20 per month. Total cost for the 12 months = $545.00 (basically ten bucks a week)

I've never has Foxtel before but believe this is going to be fantastic value being in WA, and being able to watch the mighty Dee's every week, LIVE!

12 x 50 = 600 with free instal, so how come you got it for 545? Did you bargain it further?

SD is fine. I found the picture during most AFL games on fox HD horrible compared to American sport on ESPN HD. That's true HD.

Sorry DC should've explained it better. The minimum cost for 12 months will be $545... Given that you pay one month in advance (so the buggers have already taken one payment).

The offer's been extended until 31 December - I got a neat little FOXTEL promo card in the mail today in the shape of a Melbourne jumper with my name on the back and a big number 5.

I gotta say, I'm pretty tempted, not so much for Melbourne games (upgraded to 17-game membership next year), but for the uninterrupted coverage of the other 8 matches..

The downside is that I know I'll just end up watching a bunch of other garbage on it that I can really live without.

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form
