Very impressed with some of the work of Gawn and Fitzy outside of ruck contests.

Gawny really starting to move well for a bloke that size.

Will be interesting if Fitzpatrick gets a game in all honesty he doen't deserve one after injury lay off and a couple of games at Casey you only would be playing him for a taste of AFL footy. To me we will line up as

Jeysus that is a young side, what is the average age of that side. Will be watching with interest this week seeing the AFL's two youngest sides going head to head.

Tom was pretty ordinary hen he played in the NAB cup matches but that was as a defender and it seems that he's got a new life playing in the midfield with Casey so he deserves a game. Problem is we are up against Gold coast and Port over the next two weeks and if he fires against them then it won't prove much.

Really glad to see Tom McDonald get a game he has put everything in to getting on to an AFL list so he deserves some reward, might be a handy player as well.

Jetta starting in the middle?

Don't know what to make of this post. On one hand you are going the early (negative) crow on a bloke (Tom McN) that didn't play well in a NAB Cup game (aka PRE SEASON), has worked hard in the reserves all year and has been given an opportunity to play his 4th senior game, but if he plays well it won't prove if he's any good because of our opposition.

But then you follow it up with a pat on the back to a guy (Tom McD) that is playing his first game after working hard in the reserves, plus you're going the early (positive) crow about how he could be ahnady player, and no doubt this opinion will be backed up if he plays well over the next 2 weeks...AGAINST THE SAME OPPOSITION AS PLAYER 1!!!

Going by your logic for Player 1, if Player 2 plays well over the next 2 games, should we dismiss them because we are up against Port and GC?

Typical attitude of some supporters on here. God help Nathan Jones if he has a bad game against "this" opposition.

It's fairly simple if you follow it. McNamara is on his last chance as he's been there a while and was demoted to the rookie list and McDonald is a kid just starting out in his first game.

With me so far. Both have an opportunity to show what they can do all be it against weaker opposition, McNamara may or may not be there next year but if he plays well and they don't discount the fact he's up against [censored], he may get another gig next year, he will have to show something though. McDonald will get a chance to show how he's come along and get's the chance to do that against a side that's halfway between Casey and the AFL. What you are looking for from McNamara is proof that he as progressed and what you are looking for from McDonald is that he's capable of taking the next step. What you look for in a kid like McDonald is different to what you look for in McNamara, do you understand that? McDonald has to show glimpses of what he can do McNamara should doninate some of these kids.

You also understand that McNamara has done a few pre seasons, don't you? I expect you like the rest of us have seen players like Moloney dominate weaker sides and then get smashed by the stronger ones.

It would be better if we were playing another side this week but we're not.

As for Jones he's not always selective in displaying his terrible decision making.

I hope not Casey need him for their finals campaign.

What is to be gained by playing him the last week.

It is time for the MFC to show some support for Casey IMO.

Give them the best players who are qualified to play in the finals.

If that means Blease, McNamara, Mcdonald, and Jetta return to Casey on Saturday

Then so be it.

Are we in a long term relationship or not?
