We still have young Newbies, yet to play on our list...We do not need any kids drastically....GWS can F Off for this year IMO

Other Clubs will trade with them before us...unless TS, does become an issue.

I agree. We managed to hold off Gold Coast last year, we need to do the same with GWS. I'm over Sheedy's smug declarations that he's going to raid the league of its best players due to the size of his AFL-bankrolled cheque book. They can get stuffed. I hope we give them donuts!

trade talk is stupid. barely any trades are done, and no, they don't want our rejects.

Damn. It is Sheeds remember and some funny things went on at the Bears when Gubby was there. I was hoping we'd get a first rounder for Bate.

Seriously they may want some bigger bodies as a filler for a year or three while the kids put some meat on. Somebody like Dunn might be good for that.

Maybe a bit controversial, what about trading Davey to GWS for one of the 17 yo picks.

Relieves some of our salary gap concerns to help keep the younger brigade. Most would agree that Davey is not what he once was and therefore this could be a win:win

I'm not totally against this idea but I highly doubt the club would do it, especially as we are light on for on-field experience and leadership as it is. Also he is too important as a mentor for the indigenious boys in my opinion.

Dunn, Bate and Morton are all trade bait, although of those 3 i'd least like to lose Morton.

I'd love to get one of the 4 17 year olds

Jaeger Omeara mde his league debut for Perth today and kicked 4 goals and had 15 possies against Peel. Definately worth having a crack at getting him!

I read on Ology before that Sheedy was at our training session this morning armed with a clipboard and was taking notes. You can almost guarantee that it was a publicity stunt and was done to [censored] Melbourne off for not selecting the senile old idiot as coach.

Yeah, but it wasn't a clipboard he was carrying.

He was getting autographs for his martian nephew.

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
