Is it posing a rhetorical question?

2009 by a mile---however I think in the next few years ,our picks for 2010 will really surface- Cook, Howe,Troy Davis, Tom McDonald, Jordie McKenzie & Jake Spencer were added to the senior list..The rookie list picks is also a ripper including- Evans, Nicholson, the exciting Lawrence, Johnston, Campbell-Newton and McNamara making up the rest...we surely cannot complain with recruiting over the latest few years under Prendergast.

His hands are outstanding and the marks he took today were great. The 2 goals were very handy. Definitely a future player for us and we havent seen him take a trade mark screamer yet.

Is he a chance for the rising star nomination this week?

Menzel got the nod this week, but I like Howie's chances before season's end (not that it's worth much anyway!)

I must admit I wasn't overly enthused initially when we drafted Howe. "Why take a mature age, midsized forward that nobody's heard of with an early pick" I wondered to myself. Shows how little I know! :rolleyes:

He has been fantastic. Still a long way to go, but he possesses the tools to make it. Pretty much puts an end to Bate's career at Melbourne.

Wasn't he pick 30? Hardly early.

Word was that the Pies had flown Howe over in secrecy for a clandestine workout.

We were into him and got wind of their interest, so pounced earlier than originally intended.

Glad we did.

Doesn't like the idea of trekking over crumbled rocks on a 45 degree slope in Arizona either...too risky, could do a PCL/ACL...oops sorry Browny, Mick & Eddie.

    TRAINING: Wednesday 22nd January 2025

    Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force for training at Gosch's Paddock on Wednesday morning for the MFC's School Holidays Open Training Session. DEMONLAND'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS REHAB: TMac, Chandler, McVee, Tholstrup, Brown, Spargo Brown might have passed his fitness test as he’s back out with the main group.  Sparrow not present. Kozzy not present either.  Mini Rehab group has broken off from the match sim (contact) group: Max, Trac, Lever, Fullarton

    TRAINING: Monday 20th January 2025

    Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on.     There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks.     A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
