End of the 3rd quarter, looked like he re-injured his ankle. Looked disgusted and punched the ground a couple of times.

Hopefully it's nothing serious but it didn't look good. He was playing exceptionally well before the injury too. :(

The guy can't take a trick. Our backline just looks so much better when he's there. He played well, again today. Certainly hope it's not too serious!

He walked off with the other players after the game!!

True. He was out, chatting to Barlow shortly after the siren. No sign of crutches at that point...

Definitely not on crutches when coming off the ground, no ice, no strapping, just a small limp.

Was he on crutches in the rooms?

looked like a rolled ankle to me. there was no downward pressure on the foot.

I originally thought he'd cramped up in the calf or something...but he definitely wasn't on crutches and walked off with the team.

By the sounds of it he should be alright for next week. If it was anything serious they would have had him iced up and on crutches keeping off any weight.

He will be very very important for us next week with the Tigers forward line.

Bailey press conference right at the end he is asked about Garland and Bailey said he should be right for next week. He just jarred it more than anything else and they decided that they had the sub there anyway so to rest Garland and use the sub. He didn't seem real concerned, just said it is a case of see how he pulls up in the next 24 hours...

Thats good, I don't mind if he's not with us in Darwin, But we need him against the Tiges.

How good was he looking before he went off? We're so much of a better team with him. He's really not far behind Chip at all as our most important defender, if he is at all.

As for the injury, has anyone else noticed how many times he's been in the hands of the trainers, looking like he's done for the year, then he comes back on the ground and plays well... He's done it to me about 6 times where I've turned to my mates and said he's done... So I'm hoping the punching the ground is just another example of that.

    Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded.     Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was.
