Haha like it. In fact just go one step further and remove the word courage from the dictionary and hereby label that particular quality "Stynes".

ie. Nadal showed immense Stynes there coming back from two sets down.

Very similar to the current "Nadal showed immense stones there coming back from two sets down." Might be a little redundant.

Our Jimmy is truly an inspiration.

My wife was diagnosed early this year after our second baby with stage 4 cancer.

I picked her up this afternoon after a further week of treatment and gave her copy of the story to read, after 4 days of chemo treatment, blood transfusions and other hideous assortment of drugs it was noticeable the strength and inspiration that my wife drew from our incredible man.

I know that the best wishes that are provided to Jim on this site are genuine, but from someone living so close to this insidious disease, his battle is truly inspiring probably 1000's of cancer patients and with the importance of positivity to beat the odds he is probably indirectly saving many many lives. I am sure my wife will be one of those.

Well done Jim & thanks

Demon Premonition, I wish you and your wife all the luck in the world mate. Nobody deserves this scourge that is cancer, and I pray it all works out for you.

These are some of the best words I've read in a very long time: "doctors say, Stynes is winning his remarkable battle for life".

Amen to that.....

Good to hear he has at least some vision - it must have been scary to go into the operation knowing that you could come out of it without the ability to see.

Indeed! And, to think that just hours prior to the operation, when he could be forgiven for being just a little pre-occupied with his own condition, there he was at Training, presenting his #37 to Max, and following up with an inspirational pep talk to the group.

What a true champion!

Little wonder the boys rose to the occasion last night! Would have been unforgivable if they didn't!

Not sure if anyone heard, but i was listening to the radio yesterday morning and Stynes was being interviewed, can't remember the station but Jimmy said to the boys, 'I just have this feeling that melbourne are going to win tonight', so all day yesterday I was hanging out to get to the G and witness jimmy's preminition. When he said that, I too, knew that we would. It's all about belief. I'm a very proud supporter and believer, go dees.

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had

Our game is one where the result is often decided by centimetres; the touch of a fingernail, a split-second decision made by a player or official, the angle of vision or the random movement of an oblong ball in flight or in its bounce and trajectory. There is one habit that Melbourne seems to have developed of late in its games against Carlton which is that the Demons keep finding themselves on the wrong end of the stick in terms of the fine line in close games at times when centimetres mak

    MELBOURNE BUSINESS by The Oracle

In days of old, this week’s Thursday night AFL match up between the Demons and the Blues would be framed on the basis of the need to redress the fact that Carlton “stole” last year’s semi final away from Melbourne and with it, their hopes for the premiership.  A hot gospelling coach might point out to his charges that they were the better team on the night in all facets and that poor kicking for goal and a couple of lapses at the death cost them what was rightfully theirs. Moreover, now was

UNDER THE PUMP by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons have been left languishing near the bottom of the VFL table after suffering a 32-point defeat at the hands of stand alone club Williamstown at Casey Fields on Sunday. The Demons suffered a major setback before the game even started when AFL listed players Ben Brown, Marty Hore and Josh Schache were withdrawn from the selected side. Only Schache was confirmed as an injury replacement, the other two held over as possible injury replacements for Melbourne’s Thursday night fixt
