At least he is having a go. That free kick against him in the goal square was bs. Good to see he showed some desperation.

My comment wasn't in relation to that incident, otherwise you may have been justified.

I disagree, and so does the scoreboard. For my money low scores generally reflect hard work, and poor skill execution.

Tackle count Carlton 44, MFC 22.

Nine MFC players have not laid a tackle in the first half....Hmmmmm

Moloney only 8 possessions so far....

MFC are trying to lock the game down.

Did anyone see Yarren (dont know if I spelt that right) and some one else from Carlton (I think Betts) not go hard at the contest like Davey last week? Very soft.

sure did, and [censored] myself laughing, only problem is they are getting a bit of it

I know you didnt mean that incident but I was speaking generally that he is having a go. I think the team is better with him down there as it frees up Chip.

Yes I saw it also can't remember who It was wasn't quite as bad as davey

but similar!

What I did see was McLean coming to the bench and rivers coming on ran straight

to him and said something in his ear with a smile on his face.

Well I wouldn't have a clue, I won't get a chance to watch tonight.

He said something about us not working hard enough for each other while the ball is locked in Carltons forward 50.

Would love it if the Dees came out after half time and ran over the top of the blues similar to what the hawks did to us. I know I am dreaming but whats life without dreams!

Peoples thoughts on bests and worsts at present?

Good - Frawley and Rivers have tried hard (Jones too but a lot of clangers).

Bad - our leaders have gone missing again

Wont say much else - Blue are down to two on the bench... you never know.

Apart from Greens horrid fresh airy hes been good, Chip & Riv good, when Riv kicks a goal he must be up and about, nicholson gone at it early. Judd is seriously got to be the afl best at the minute.

Tom Harley has just said on Fox (about our game plan) that the Dees are trying to get the ball back in the defensive half. He also said that NO OTHER TEAM has this type of game plan.

FFS i am sick of the same thing week in week out being said about our team. For the love of god get a new game plan/coach.

It looks like 2008/09 all over again.

Agreed with your stats RR, but I do believe the boys are working very hard. It is lack of skill and a better level of skill from the blues that is getting the better of us, but that is no refletion on effort.

    GOLDIE'S METTLE by Meggs

On a perfect night for football at the home of the Redlegs, Norwood Oval, it was the visiting underdogs Melbourne who led all night and hung on to prevail in a 2-point nail-biter. In the previous round St Kilda had made it a tough physical game to help restrict Adelaide from scoring and so Mick Stinear set a similar strategy for his team. To win it would require every player to do their bit on the field plus a little bit of luck.  Fifty game milestoner Sinead Goldrick epitomised

    REDLEG PRIDE by Meggs

Hump day mid-week footy at the Redlegs home ground is a great opportunity to build on our recent improved competitiveness playing in the red and blue.   The jumper has a few other colours this week with the rainbow Pride flag flying this round to celebrate people from all walks of life coming together, being accepted. AFLW has been a benchmark when it comes to inclusivity and a safe workplace.  The team will run out in a specially designed guernsey for this game and also the following week

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. Injuries to star play
