Who can do the overlay graph of australian recessions of the last 100 Years and the Form line of the MFC?

It's just a theory I want either proven or disproved.

Australia has had growth for 20 years now, but in that time the Demons have been up and down like an economist's forecasts. Hard to see a recent correlation.

what are your criteria for X and Y ?

I have a thought that I want to clear in my mind, that it may be that our MFC success era's may coincide with Australia's recessionary times.

I tried last night to find suitable graphs, but couldn't find anything good enough to check this out.

During the 50's we were "Living off the sheeps Back" doing quite well i would have thought.

yeah ..post war years were boom time.. do we see similar with mining ??? god I hope so ..lol

Agree. You cant graph recession. You could possibly grapg quarterly GDP growth.

And "recession" is a label to series of a economic outcomes over a period of time where the measure of recession is not uniform.

For the record, 1974,1983,1990-91,2008-09 were periods of economic downturn with the label recessionary periods.

personally I think there is a much closer relationship to MFC premierships and sun spot activity. Has anyone here had a close look at it?

No, but i have looked at our Membership figures in relation to the price of bananas. Fascinating Reading....

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

    Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50.     A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.     Some veteran Demonland Trackwatchers ventured down to Gosch's Paddock to bring you the following observations from another Preseason Training Session. WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders.     Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9.
