You know you are in bad shape when Melbourne supporters are calling you irrelevant...

The guy is small fries...

We may lose on Saturday but we will get glory on the last saturday in September before the Kangas.

Couldn't believe my eyes this morning when reading the hun when there is Brad Scott whining that Melbourne can't use injuries or suspensions as an excuse when they've ( kangaroos ) have had players unavailable all year. What is it with this club ? Just worry about what you're doing Kangaroos and stop worrying about us. Last years whinging was bad enough

Isn't this a straw man? Have MFC indeed been already making excuses? I haven't heard any.

Truth is that our team has also had injured players since the start of the year, but rather than use that as an excuse the MFC has blamed those who took to the field for any poor showings. There's a suggestion in Scott's bleating of a very shallow individual who is, in effect, making excuses.

By God i hope we beat them on saturday....even by a point.

Our Team is still good enough to do it, without the 4 players, this is how character is built.

Remember in 1998 we went to Perth and Beat Wet Coke, with a bunch of no names-which then kick started our season.

We can still win on saturday & the week after......BELIEVE I BELIEVE.

I also heard a North supporter already making excuses on SEN before, stating they ar missing McIntosh (Goldstein is just as good), Bastinac (young and tries hard but not a star by any means), Greenwood (a battler with average skills).

I always enjoy people claiming that players are out and costing them team, especially when they are no better than the players who are currently in the team!!!!!!

Maybe we should whinge because Strauss is out, Campbell is not fit yet and Spencer is out for a year.

I for one am hoping that we claim glory on the first Saturday in October.

Won't happen, this year is a one-off. It will go back to Sept from 2012 onwards.

Well it was at least a four-off if my memory serves me

I was of the understanding that the bye weeks of 2011 pushed it out.

Apologies if I am wrong.

Probably a silly point but could thread be rewritten as what's wrong with THAT club... Not this club!! :))

Would love nothing more than to beat those muppets. Even without a number of stars I reckon we'll be too good for them.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
