Don't normally do this but here goes..... Most pathetic excuse for a team to ever man the field. That was so friggen frustrating, gonna be a long long night. And to Baily stop patting every f...ing body on the back when we are playing like sh.t, HaARDEN THE FARK UP! Big second term dees, lift your game.

Could half time have come at a worse time, the only patch we get on a bit of a roll and that momentum is smashed. As bad as we are playing it also feels like every little thing is going wrong for Melbourne. How the hell did Col trip over his own feet on a demon break away, could have been only 20 points after the worse footy we have played.

p.s Brad Green is Melbourne's worst player. I dont know what has happened but he is our worst player for the last 3 weeks. Screw the captaincy drop him

Amazing. Gone from an almost All Australian to a player that looks past it.

How has that happened?

Gee I am really really glad we did not pick up Darling in the last draft!

What a poor choice on the part of the Eagles.

Aside from umpteen marks, kicks and two goals he has hardly done a thing!

Around about now the MFC reqruitment team is heading for the airport.

We sure make some good choices.

My guts are in a knot.

I have never seen such a lack of intensity. Frawley, Sylvia, Bennell and Green are loping around the paddock hoping to get a kick.

Kicking skills look like the Maldon reserves from the 1970's - and I should know because I was playing there then. Do we not know how to kick?

And we are getting smashed at the clearances - again!

How can West Coast (16th last year) and Essendon (14th) and Richmond (whatever) improve so much over a preseason and we go back in time 2 years. God we look crap.

You make your own luck.

Funny how the more skilled you are and the harder you try how your lucky you are.

I think you are being a little hard on the Maldon reserves.

And 36 to 13 inside 50's, getting smashed again!!!!!! 13 entries and we have had 11 scores, damn imagine we had 36 entries! Our turnovers are just laughable, what a joke.

Green as captain = Epic Fail. Bailey as coach = Epic Fail. Rebuild = Epic Fail. Development = Epic Fail. And I am going to preempt the positive souls on here and say, SHUT IT. This is a vent your spleen thread and I am going to run with it. I have had ENOUGH of trying to be positive and make excuses and explain to my mates why we lost the game we should win, why our "top talent" look so SHITE. Letters to Schwab and Stynes should flow thick and fast. It is time to do something about this instead of sitting back and accepting it. NO MORE.

Yes Deemort it begars belief.

I have only two thoughts.

Our talent pool is nowhere as good as we think or our game plan / coach stinks.

Perhaps it is both.

I'm gonna roll with this bit, cause otherwise I've absolutely nothing to cling to for hope.

We are terribly out of form, and by that I mean that our best players from last year in Green, Frawley and Davey are in shizen form.

Our captain has completely lost the plot as a player, we still can't clear the ball out of the back half and when we lose a clearance we nearly always concede a goal due to lack of pressure.

The positive thing for me is that the hardest part, which is getting a talented list, is done. Game plans and coaches are much easier to change than a list. At least I don't have to watch us suck knowing that our list is made up of hacks and has-beens. There is a lot of talent and a lot of development to come. what I'd love to know is what we need to do in order to wake these players up, because we seem to sleep through many quarters this season.

Absolutely couldnt agree more, just the embly snap falling over goes through, and wonnas toe doesnt quite get there, just those two reversed and its 14 points or so in a terrible performance. We start to play , we can win, cos they're already playing to their ability and haven't put us away. A little luck, creates a little confidence and who knows.

Absolute rubbish, these people are professionals both the players and the playing staff!

We as supporters shouldn't have to put of with this garbage. I dont usually come on here to complain and be extremely negative but after the 2006-2009 years we should never have to see this rubbish.

What happens after half time imo is irrelevant, this is a disgrace by so called professionals.

Atelast show some intensity! Do something! Make them earn atleast!!

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. Injuries to star play

    EASYBEATS by Meggs

A beautiful sunny Friday afternoon, with a light breeze and a strong Windy Hill crowd set the scene, inviting one team to seize the day and take the important four points on offer. For the Demons it was not a good Friday, easily beaten by an all-time largest losing margin of 65 points.   Essendon threw themselves into action today, winning most of the contests and had three early goals with Daria Bannister on fire.  In contrast the Demons were dropping marks, hesitant in close and comm

    DEFUSE THE BOMBERS by Meggs

Last Saturday’s crushing loss to Fremantle, after being three goals ahead at three quarter time, should be motivation enough to bounce back for this very winnable Round 5 clash at Windy Hill. A first-time venue for the Melbourne AFLW team, this should be a familiar suburban, windy, footy environment for the players.   Essendon were brave and competitive last week against ladder leader Adelaide at Sturt’s home ground. A familiar name, Maddison Gay, was the Bombers best player with

    BLOW THE SIREN by Meggs

Fremantle hosted the Demons on a sunny 20-degree Saturdayafternoon winning the toss and electing to defend in the first quarter against the 3-goal breeze favouring the Parry Street end. There was method here, as this would give the comeback queens, the Dockers, last use of the breeze. The Melbourne Coach had promised an improved performance, and we did start better than previous weeks, winning the ball out of the middle, using the breeze advantage and connecting to the forwards.

    GETAWAY by Meggs

Calling all fit players. Expect every available Melbourne player to board the Virgin cross-continent flight to Perth for this Round 4 clash on Saturday afternoon at Fremantle Oval. It promises to be keenly contested, though Fremantle is the bookies clear favourite.  If we lose, finals could be remoter than Rottnest Island especially following on from the Dees 50-point dismantlement by North Melbourne last Sunday.  There are 8 remaining matches, over the next 7 weeks.  To Meggs’

    DRUBBING by Meggs

With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.

    GARNER STRENGTH by Meggs

In keeping with our tough draw theme, Week 3 sees Melbourne take on flag favourites, North Melbourne, at Casey Fields this Sunday at 1:05pm.  The weather forecast looks dry, a coolish 14 degrees and will be characteristically gusty.  Remember when Casey Fields was considered our fortress?  The Demons have lost two of their past three matches at the Field of Dreams, so opposition teams commute down the Princes Highway with more optimism these days.  The Dees held the highe

    ALLY’S FIELDS by Meggs

It was a sunny morning at Casey Fields, as Demon supporters young and old formed a guard of honour for fan favourite and 50-gamer Alyssa Bannan.  Banno’s banner stated the speedster was the ‘fastest 50 games’ by an AFLW player ever.   For Dees supporters, today was not our day and unfortunately not for Banno either. A couple of opportunities emerged for our number 6 but alas there was no sizzle.   Brisbane atoned for last week’s record loss to North Melbourne, comprehensively out
