At Etihad Stadium on Thursday 24th February.

Surely it'll be St Kilda.

Don't discount St.Kilda's bogey side Essendon. New format. New coach(es). New lease of life.

Weighing up whether to take my son (might be a bit late for him) and his new jumper (first ever) with the no.31.

"The following night Collingwood will play one of the two wildcard teams at Etihad Stadium."

It's more than likely but aren't they getting ahead of themselves?

Fancy our chances against either of the three...but I hope we play Essendon and [censored] them

Etihad too, crappy ground.

Etihad too, crappy ground.

Crappy ground, but another chance of exposure to a ground we traditionally struggle playing on. We all know that we can kill it at the G, but i love that we're playing pre season games at grounds we usually drop games on. Can only be a good thing for the younger players.

No chance Brisbane will make it through.

Not one iota.

I hope we play StKilda. Beating Essendon just doesn't excite me as much as it used to.

NAB cup results are random, particularly with the shorter games. Who would have picked West coast to go through?

Approximately, how much are tickets at Etihad?

Take him to training, to have Tom personally sign the Boys Jumper,,, HT.

generally just over 20 bucks for a nab cup game

Our next NAB Cup game is still 10 days away. Anyone know what the plan is in the meantime? Is another intra-club match planned, or what?

Kinda wonder why all the 1st round of the NAB Cup couldn't have been played in the one weekend, rather than stringing it over two.

Beating anyone excites me

I could never get tired of standing on the throat of Essendon.

I hope we play them and grind our heel into the mud.

Also, after putting to rest one hoodoo in AAMI Stadium, we now have a chance to lay to rest another with our poor form at Etihad; if we can get through these tests, even if we don't make the final, at least we will be going into season 2011 confident in the knowledge that they can win anywhere.

Can anyone name the last time Melbourne had a NAB Cup game in Melbourne?

Kinda looking forward to it (and not just because it's my birthday!), with the likely opponent being St Kilda it'll be a good hit out for the pre-season.

Yep the more exposure to grounds outside the MCG the better at this time of year. And in a full blown hit out this time rather than the mickey mouse crap on the weekend.

If it's the Dons, great- hope we smash em.

If it's the Saints, likewise, but also a good test to see where we're at.

Even if you've only played the game at an amatuer level you'd know that the players will not be thinking about bullsh1te "hoodos" at certain grounds. Teams change from year-to-year, form goes up and down, teams are not always at their best.

And it's the pre-season and win means... not much at all.

It's good to see us playing well and winning, but it doesn't really matter. As long as our preparations for the season on relatively on track, then I'd be happy. Who we play, at which ground, all things being equal, means absolutely nothing.

We've lost 15 in a row at AAMI (not including last weekend obv.)

How can you say there is nothing in it, we have been a better side than both Adelaide teams at many stages over the 15 losses, and still got done, also lost by plenty on most occassions

2007 - round 1 V's Hawks @ Etihad, we lost.

Wasn't 2007 in Tassie or was that 2008 against Hawthorn?

Essendon will win on Friday night St Kilda won't be interested and Brisbane are garbage.
