3 things i fell in love with this season....

1. The off-field situation. We've gone from basket case to the club everyone's talking about.

2. The defence. We condeded less points than everyone in the bottom 8 except Adelaide, who are overly defensive at times, and we also condeded less points than Fremantle and Carlton, who are finalists. Frawley and Garland are stars already, Rivers had a much better year than I thought he would, we got good service from Bartram as a small defender, and we've got Warnock in the reserves for depth.

3. Unexpected talent: McKenzie, Bail and Gysberts. Didn't think much of any of these three at the start of the year, but the first two are best 22 players IMO and Gysberts is close.

1. Jimmy and the board (shows how bad the previous administration was)...

2. The on field development

3. Jurrah, Frawley, Grimes, Jamar, Green ([censored] i loved them all anyway, this is just a little extra).

(and 4. Seeing Collingwood falter again!)

1. The almost forgotten sound of the roar from the members wing

2. Aaron Davey's boot (a recurring love every season)

3. Scull, Trenners, Jordie, The Gys - new young blokes busting a gut to get the ball, and taking it up to the rest of the comp.

1. The Melbourne Football CLUB. I've barracked for Melbourne for 60+ years, but for the first time since our game became professional in the 1980s(?), I now feel part of a great Club rather than a supporter of a team. Thanks Jimma, CC, Schwabby, et al!

2. Feeling that we are 'a chance' in virtually every match. It sure as Hell beats going to games expecting to lose, or worse still, almost wanting to.

3. Watching the emergence of some of our talent, and knowing that we have something very special to look forward to.

1) Dunn's progression since growing that mustache

2) Bartram's progression since throwing on those yellow boots

3) Jordie's progression since wearing the #13

I'm sorry but I have to slap myself on the back

I was one of a few who vehemently protested Dunn not being played earlier in our often dysfunctional forward line.

Finally he was placed where he naturally performs instead of through the midfield as a tagger and

guess what he flourished so well done to me I say.

so in no particular order

1. Resolution of debt and relocation from Junction Oval to AAMI Park

2. Lynden Dunn's improvement

3. Our Backline - Has kept us competitive all year without them we'd be as bad as Wet Toast

1. Lynden Dunn's moustache

2. Lynden Dunn

3. Lynden Dunn's moustache again (so awesome it deserves a second mention)

I concur with those 3 :P

1. the Jimmy's! Stynes and Jnr

2. The Jacks!

3. Chip and Sylvia

Now if only Sylvia can make a whole pre season and season without injury he will sew up our B&F and make top 5 in the comp.

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had
