Yeah thanks for that ... allegedly $1million ... somebody thinks he can play. Ah well such is life.

More money than sense!

Expensive shoulder, i shall watch next season closely.

hehehe ... general consensus might have been he was played out of position under Williams, maybe a new/old role under a new coach. Plus probably would be selling him on a down therefore his trade currency would have been low.

Woah - freak me out. I thought Keyser Soze and E25 were back (have they ever left?)

And I was wondering why Dean Bailey was calling him about coming to the Dees...

Every time I watch Port play ... he isn't.

Jack Dyer come on down.

Very good Redleg.

It's official. Salopek has quit Port Adelaide.

Any interest? He is a FA.

Gonski's from AFL cirlces

Didn't play an AFL game this year, was stuck in the SANFL whilst playing for a team almost as bad as us, that's gotta be a worry.

you wouldn't think he'd quit if he didn't have an offer elsewhere... either he was going to be delisted and went first, or he has at least one club that's interested.

Reminds me a little of Sylvia (a lesser version if that). Year after year, always expecting him to become a gun. High draft pick, good skills and doesn't mind a goal. Also inconsistent and injury-prone.

But after almost a decade it's become quite clear he just ain't up to it...

i wouldnt mind putting him on the permission to train list. see how badly he wants it.

Grossly mismanaged by Port Adelaide, get him back down to his proper playing weight and he can make it, he'd also come very cheaply. Worth a punt imho

Spent time in reserves in SANFL.

Next

Had a falling out at Glenelg I believe then transferred to the Magpies. Hard to read what that means.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
