It is just common sense that if a player focussed on one muscle group AND ignored a related muscle group that this could cause a strain to that muscle group

Hard to see much sense in this trade, Kozi is too old, inconsistant, and has never realised his potential (like too many others on our list already) so you wouldn't think he'd be on the FD's radar but as an interim measure it may have some basis in reality

At the risk of entering in one of the silly [censored] for tat threads i would have thought that building strength would be exactly what a young player would do in order to match it with "mature bodied opposition", particualry one who was thrust into the midfield in his first few AFL matches(against the might of Geelong's midfield in his first match one might add) rather than say half back. The original post intimated Gysbert realised he needed to "build strength" if he was to match it with other AFL mids, not an unreasonable view. Given he was probabaly dead keen to make the most of his chance, with Skullgove ahead of him in the pecking order, it is alaso not unreasonable to suspect he may have pushed a little hard in the gym to build that strength in order to maximise his chance of staying in the side.

Matthews said on the telecast of the Freo - Blues game that the one big hole for Carlton was the lack of a big key defender. Given his brother plays there what chance a trade with the blues, Warnock (and perhaps a draft pick and McNamara/Cheney) for say Lachie Henderson

Not the worst thing I have heard. Kosi might be a bit hit or miss but he is a big body that we need at the moment. If we picked him up for not much then I'm happy to endorse it.

While I'm no fan of Warnock, trading him for Kosi is a no. He has no awareness and I don't see the point in going after him when we've just delisted Bell another player with no awareness. Granted Kosi is a tall but hasn't performed for aeons. I'd still consider other offers though....

Warnock for Kozi i wouldn't be happy with, but the idea is right... ie trading our fringe Key defender for a big bodied forward/ruckman

Warnock i would keep as very good depth unless a seriously good trade was possible, and Kozi isn't a seriously good trade. Neither is a guy like David Hale... those kind of trades would be like us trading in Ben Holland, where you get someone servicable, but you don't get a player who can really take the club forward.

Warnock + 2nd round ---> Mitch Clarke.... that is a seriously good trade i would consider since it would solve 2 big defficiencies in one, a really good big-bodied forward option + genuinely good 2nd ruckman

As stated previously Clark is the ideal player for us. Given a fair trade we should pursue this with vigor.

Agree. This one could be realistic. That way we could still get a KPF like cook or lynch in the draft as a first rounder.
