Hamstring. Expect 3-4.

Reported that Juniors is worse than previously thought. Happened in the area where he had a graft taken for the ACL replacement years ago. Expect longer than normal.

Not good for Junior. Amazing how an injury can take a hold at that age. Before the injury would've expected he would play another year for sure. Not writing him off just yet so hopefully returns soon in good shape.

Agree- he has been seriously missed- we have no senior leadership to assist this young team. Very sad indeed.

Have you heard of a player called Brent Moloney? He's a midfielder...

To me he lead pathetically today- Isn't he the one -no.22 who handballed wildly in the first quarter for a goal to the Saints when we were trying to start well. Yep. great leader.

For me he is Baloney as a leader.

So he had a quiet game. Chris Judd often has quiet games. Matthew Pavlich often has quiet games. Doesn't mean they're crap leaders. You don't really get to see what happens behind the scenes.

Anyone who believes beamer isn't a leader of our club is an idiot (sorry no offence). He is THE MOST vocal player and no one loves the club more than he

It's a bit off topic, but I completely agree with your signature Deemitch. Two of the three numbers I was thinking about getting on my guernsey were 12 and 16, and I eventually got 15. They've all been injured D:

Maybe I'll consider getting 7, 11, 21, 29, 34 and 42...

Hopefully Grimes gets back in soon. He has been a shining light this season. Given our recent form, the more shining lights the better.

Chance for Bail to step in?

Your absolutely kidding me-Judd & Pavlich are the two most consistant leaders going around- they show the way virtually at all times.

They will give Grimes 4 weeks break, we have been that careful with return times

I say - he maybe capable as a leader - but a captain- no way.Call me an idiot well.

JCB...You are an idiot! <quotes deleted text>.

Not sure I would go quite that hard. Beamer is a terrific leader and leads the group well. From all reports it is fairly obvious to see that either Beamer, Davey, Green would be the next captain. Beamer and Green as far as consistent output I would put ahead of Flash. Just goes missing at times, critical times. Beamers weakness is his lack of pace and this really hurts him at times, IMO this is why I don't believe we cant accommodate both he and Jones in the same side as they both lack pace, but Beamer is well ahead of Jones IMO as he is far more consistent. The fact they are trying to turn Jones into a tagger is proof of this for me and he is struggling as a tagger against the very best.

Green leads by example, is consistent for the most part, can play an effective role in almost any spot on the ground, the fact that 3-4 years ago he changed from being an outside player to a running with the flight, putting body on the line type player sees him as our next captain - IMO

Enough JCB. Pull your head in, you're getting way too far ahead of yourself. Again.

You're claiming a player is a poor leader based on ONE poor disposal? Give me a break. JMac is a spectacular leader of this club and his disposal is poor 50% of the time!

Moloney is in our best 3 or so players this year, and a major part of that is his leadership on the ground and off.

Sometimes I think you say these stupid things just to sound like you know what you're talking about.

Check what I said- I said Maloney is a leader but not captain material- that is what I said

He maybe capable as a leader is what I said re no 16 posting.

I'd have Green -Captain Maoloney- VC

Grimes maybe VC Davey in leadership group

I didn't pick up on the incident?

Did anyone see it happen?

Was it yet another injury caused by Vlad's "perfect surface"?

Interesting it was only when Chri$ Judd commented that the AFL even recognised that anyone may have been concerned.

Whatever, with little to achieve the club must manage this injury very very conservatively - no point at all in rushing him back.

Now you tell me, which one of these, posted within maybe half a dozen posts of each other, is right? You're allowed your opinion... just pick one. What's more, if you have an opinion and it's drivel, you can expect to be criticised for it. Same as I'm sure Moloney would expect to be criticised for his handball.

get it right before you ruddy critisize.

So you're allowed to criticise Moloney, or Grimes, or whoever your maladjusted footy brain sees fit, but I'm not allowed to criticise you for posting nonsensical, self-serving trash, that changes at a moments' notice? Give me a spell.

You've had some fails on here JCB, but this is one of your best.

Call me an idiot well.

I think this is what we were doing. So shooting off abusive PMs for doing exactly what you asks seems a little harsh, BTW.

I said he was a leader- but I do not captain material.Surely, I am allowed my opinion- and and yours I respect as well. We will all know one day.

From the Muppett & idiot.

JCB .. what was with the PM mate.? What aree you, like 14 years old. Grow up pal. You made a comment an dmost disagree with you. Suck it up

JCB...You are an idiot! In fact you are more aptly a Di...head! Moloney is a leader and if you had any understanding of the inbner sanctum of the club and its people, you would realise BMER is a dead set certain Captain.

You are a Muppet.

Is this Moloney who put in the short steps in the first qtr when he could have bodylined player and ball? Worthy of being in the leadership group but not a worthy captain?

Hahaha the abusive JCB PM machine strikes again!

We've all had our fair share.

Jeez, Y_M was bad, but at least he was never this childish.

Not sure how to find the ignore function on the current demonland incarnation.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
