MFC has nominated Jordie as teh Rookie of choice to be available for senior selection for rest of the year.

Pencil him in as part of the future going forward. He has worked his backside off for the jumper this season, and deserves this spot!

Good on him. Deserves it after turning down a move to Adelaide to stay on the rookie list. Exactly the sort of guy we need on our list moving forward. Will be promoted at years end so consider this a full-time move onto the senior list.

Well, he certainly has a bit of James McDonald work ethic about him.

Every step up for the kind of players who deserve respect is a good thing for the whole club.

Let's not forget that this is a young man who was given the choice to be promoted to the senior list at the end of last year, but agreed to stay on the rookie list to allow for an extra pick in the main draft instead of rookie draft.

Jordie McKenzie is, IMO, singularly responsible for all of our good form this year. His quick handballs out of the packs and his tackling pressure is inspirational, and it certainly rubs off on the others.

He has been good but not as good as you say. He was always going to be the choice considering he replaced Jurrah i think and he is back. Meeson is injured. Juice is no good and Spencer is horrible. Hughes has replaced Petterd.

Having said that Jordie is the most deserving and is developing into a very good player.

He earnt that chance in round 1, i stayed to the end of that dark day just to watch Jordie for the first time.

He wants to win games, and play his part in it.

Singularly responsible is overstating it and is probably unfair on everyone else who has lifted, but he's definitely been important. A real winner from the rookie draft and a kid who seems to show a lot of heart. I couldn't be happier with how he's turning out.

    Demonlander The Analyser was the sole Trackwatcher out at Casey Fields today to bring you the following observations from this mornings preseason training session. Training  was at Casey today. It consisted of a match simulation for one half  and then a free choice activity time.     Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded.     THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

    Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was.
