Just show's you that when the forward line starts clicking we will be a force to be reckoned with.

With players like Green, Sylvia, Petterd, Jurrah, Wonna, Watts, it already sounds good

Only conceded over 100 twice, am I right?

Round 1 - Hawthorn - LOST 61-117

Round 2 - Collingwood - LOST 85-86

Round 3 - Adelaide - WON 57-41

Round 4 - Richmond - WON 133-78

Round 5 - Brisbane - WON 103-53

Round 6 - North - LOST - 78-104

Round 6 - Bulldogs - LOST 66-70

Round 7 - Eagles - LOST 46-75

Then scores against of 86, 78, 75, 70, 53 and 41. Woohoo

Lovely numbers. I can't see us going out of the top 4 for points against this year either. Good times. We get it in defence, we rebound (unless it's a kick in) beautifully, our midfield is winning more quarters than it's losing... it's just we have no forward line.

A lack of injuries in mid and defence is probably as much a factor as anything. Our forward line gets decimated, and look what happens.

I think we are 14th for points scored, but that isn't a huge concern as we will improve in that area. What I do like is that we won't always have to kick a big score to win games.

It also suggests that our midfield is more competitive.

It's a great sign to be doing so well in terms of points against. Having a percentage of 100.8% despite being 3-5 and 11th on the ladder is testament to that. We're about 10% clear of any other bottom 8 side, and Port Adelaide, who are 5-3 and in the top 8, are sub-90.

Having said that, we've scored over 100 twice, the remaining scores being 61, 85, 57, 78, 56, 46. Low. So it's patently obvious where the improvement needs to come from. But I'd much rather have it this way around than the other way.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
