That's the reason why I actually feel happy knowning Mclean is at Carlton. He couldn't see us developing, and he wanted out. good! see ya later mclean and never come back. We don't need ya, and we'll wave at you on the way past as we climb over carlton next year.

I would say it is the complete opposite, he could see what our midfield was going to be like in a few years and knew he would struggle to get a game

Hey at least the kid looks focused!!! A little out of shape in the mid section Granted, but after chasing hard for 4 Q's he should be well fit!

He(?) just looks like a [censored] I think.

He's just stating that they must be on something if they think they can get Scully.

Or get off the bottom of the ladder.

Prepare for the Tasmania Tigers

I don't know whether i would want 41,000 Feral Richmond supporters to join us really.

I think commenting on other teams Forums is a little Lame Myself....Reading them is fine & most amusing!! B)

I heard just briefly on SEN tonight that Martin was being chased by Gold Coast and they seemed to think he might be interested or in fact interested in going elsewhere.

1. There wouldn't be 41,000 people on that site. Do you know there's 32,000 people here?

2. They wouldn't all sign up anyway. It's normally just one-five people that do it for a laugh.

Agreed. I hate it when supporters do this crap. Some of the demon supporters on bigfooty are the worst. They make us all look bad.

What are you talking about??? Do you have no sense of humor??? If Richmond went to tassie, i don't think i could cope with the Richmond membership joining us...Could you?? They somehow have 41,000 members of that rabble. Dogs Cats Chairs Sheds make up a large portion i agree! B)

Richmond can't count. You add one for every member, not 20,500 for every memeber

And apropos of this subject, here's a news item in today's media:-

JUSTICE IN MELBOURNE COURTROOM by the Age Family Law Department

A seven-year old boy was at the centre of a Melbourne courtroom drama yesterday when he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody of him. The boy has a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge initially awarded custody to his aunt, in keeping with child custody law and regulation requiring that family unity be maintained to the highest degree possible.

The boy surprised the court when he proclaimed that his aunt beat him more than his parents and he adamantly refused to live with her. When the judge then suggested that he live with his grandparents, the boy cried and said that they also beat him.

After considering the remainder of the immediate family and learning that domestic violence was apparently a way of life among them, the judge took the unprecedented step of allowing the boy to propose who should have custody of him.

After two recesses to check legal references and confer with the child welfare officials, the judge granted temporary custody to the Richmond football team, whom the boy firmly believes is not capable of beating anyone.

???

Not at all, as far as I know.

This is a special case where we offered 3 years to both Trengove and Tapscott purely for list management reasons.

Fair enough, I just remember hearing somewhere that in interstate draftee could get an extra year on their initial contract.

All interstae draftees get "at least" 2 years. The SA boys have been offered an extra year.

I think also high draft picks (first round?) get 2 years. Which is why Tom has 2 years despite being a local. But I'm not sure about that.

I would be surprised if all draftees got 2 years.

Trengove and his best mate Tapscott signed on for three years, as a commitment to the club and to eachother.

Club is currently looking at giving Scully an extention arrangement just to be sure and to set a clear path.

MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
