AFL gameday says he's had 39 touches. Wow. When he went off in the last quarter, the dogs won.

Malthouse is scared of us.

He's making Judd/Scully comparisons now. Stopped short of saying they're the same, but that Scully has most areas of Judd's game "covered."

19 kicks 20 handballs.

A few mistakes, but for a 7th game.. wow

Amazing game. We have our first real chance in decades of producing elite midfielders.

If his decision making and execution by foot was as good as his hands, he'd be unbelievable.

Looked great for three quarters, then somehow actually managed to turn it up a notch for the last. Thinking about his bloody phenomenal game is already easing the pain of the gutting loss.

i thought he made a few mistakes but overall he was fantastic.

i'd imagine scully is the kinda guy who'd prefer to get 20 perfect touches than 39 touches with a few errors...

but yes he's a monty for rising star this round.

Scully played awesome tonight. While he turned the ball over a few times, when you have 39 touches in the wet that is going to happen. His kicking is better than I thought. The thing I loved most about his game is his attack on the ball - just wait until he has some muscle to avoid getting knocked off the ball!

Gary Rohan's gonna have to get 50 possessions and kick 5 goals.

Screw Nic Nat, this is between the Scullgove twins.

I agree it was a great game, but his shocking turnovers by foot really hurt at times. He really needs to work on that. Fortunately, he seems to be the type who puts a lot of work into his game, so we can hope that he will get better.

Everybody had a stupid turnover tonight. It was the fact that Sculls got it 39 times that made him have more than the rest.

That's the first situation where I've seen a player get twice as many disposals than his age

Scully is going to be the superstar game turner that we have been needing for years (18 possesions in the 4th)! Will be the Rising star this week . But Nic Nat will win the rising star as the media are selling him so hard to the brain dead masses.

We have guys in the team who have played over 200 games and make worse turnovers by foot.

If Scully never improves beyond this point (which he obviously will, especially in terms of body strength), he will still become an elite midfielder.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
