I think some people have it out for Dunn, he was excellent on Brennan last night.

Each week he has a new role and considering he is getting a game he is doing his job.

bingo. Playing really well on his opponents each week and did well in the ruck this week.

McIntosh, Hale, Goldstein. Martin will play.

Hale does not play in the ruck he is just a tall forward who our backs could cover. Hale only rucks in the forward line of the other two don't get Down there in time.

Agree. Hale and Goldstein can be a handful going forward.

Contradiction there.

well I've just watched the replay--all but the first 10 minutes. In another topic I've seen reference to poor ball handling by Bruce last Saturday. It must have been all in that first 10 minutes!

In all that I watched Bruce made 1 error. On the outer wing he passed over to Trengove with a kick that got too high

and was punched away. He made no other error by foot or hand in the 100 minutes I saw.

He was responsible for 2 goals, one, to Sylvia, when Bruce took a poor pass to him, virtually on the half volley and got it to Sylvia who kicked a nice goal in the 2nd quarter. His handling of the ball fetched an intake of breath by Tony Shaw-it was so good.

Any suggestion that he be dropped could only be made in bad faith!

Rivers is in the best 22 and I think he is a better option than Garland to help the side get the 4 points on Saturday against North. It doesn't mean that Rivers is the better long term option, but I think the 4 points is important enough to justify a change.

Bail deserves to regain his spot but pending injury there is no obvious vacancy. He will need to be patient and show us what he's made of for the Scorp's.

The good news is our arguments have changed from why blokes should be dropped to why blokes shouldn't be dropped. What a fantastic and somewhat unique development!

No change for mine, I would love to see Rivers and Bail back, but I can't remove anyone for them to replace.

One fantastic thing that might be flying under the radar is how great it is to have almost the same 22 play together for a few weeks.

Injuries have been bad for us over the last couple of years, being unable to have the same blokes on the park has hurt us and consistency in the lineup will probably lead to a lot of improvement very quickly. Exciting!

Why don't you just put your old screen name in a signature, Y_M? You're STILL the only one bleating on about Bruce, years after you started.

As for the side I'm surprised nobody else has called for Bennell's head. Not that I WANT him gone, he was desperately unlucky on the weekend in a number of cases, but he's also probably the least "successful" in the side.

Tough beng a dee at the moment.

No Change, Unless there are injuries. Although Rivers in for .............? and Bail in for .............? Great problem to have finally :)

Why does Bail need to show us what "he's made of" when he has already shown us at AFL level already?

Fighting to get back in a successful team after injury is part of footy. Has he experienced that scenario in his career thus far???

Proving he can maintain the work rate and motivational level required at VFL level to force his way back into the red and blue is a form of 'showing us what he's made of', and a valuable lesson for a young player forging himself a reputation.

    TRAINING: Monday 20th January 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
