He has been too busy looking at recruiting a couple of tall players for next year- I guess after the stuff ups in recruiting over the last two years in not obtaining Nic Nat & Lewis Jetta as a rookie.

he was at Casey the other week then drove to the G on Sunday , he never stops , Answers Texts talks to people . always makes time for us ,

if you ever get the chance a talk to him , he just loves the club . he will talk for hours , he got me back ...

i agree with the guy who sed we stuffed up by not getting both nic nat and wattsy. i also agree with the guy who says that not pickin up jetta is a good thing

I know jayceebee quite well, and he continues to reassure me that Jack Watts will be a very good player for us, as i have my concerns. Whether or not what he said above was tongue in cheek or not, i don't know, as it is so hard to convey tone through writing. However, he is a staunch supporter and believer in Jack Watts.

I think what jayceebee is referring to with the Natanui comment, is that we really did ourselves no favours in winning 5 games back in 2007. We could have picked up both Watts and Natanui if we'd 'list managed' a little better in 2007.

But then all these other possibilities wouldn't have come about, such as Sam Blease and would have we won fewer than 5 games last year if we had of had him?

I have noticed however, whenever Natanui is mentioned on MFC boards, everybody gets extremely defensive. Everyone on this board realises that there's an elephant in the room, but simply refuses to acknowledge it. I hope Jack Watts becomes a great player, better than NicNat would be great, but no one can deny that Natanui will become a very good AFL player. If you do, you'ree just living in dream land. It's as simple as that.

There are parrallels with Hodge and Judd here. Hawthorn castigated themselves when they missedon Judd in favour of Hodge, but on balance theygot it pretty right.

Chris Connolly has the complete faith of Jimmy Stynes, and this says it all. This is now a 'club' with the kind of solidarity we haven't seen for a long, long time, and still there's a chorus of pea-brains amongst our supporters who [censored] and moan from a position of complete ignorance. Witness also the ridiculous postings on Jack Watts, and the weekly spray of vitreole to a rotating host of players. Whilst this has been less in the past two weeks, almost no-one escapes.

This is a fan website, sometimes fascinating, sometimes funny, often infuriating, and too often just pathological. Part of enjoying the seeds of resurgence we are seeing is to seek out the enjoyment of others, but so often it ends up being wild negative speculation. As was written in an old song...'you've got to accentuate the positive'. A worthy mantra I'd say, and doesn't it kind of sit closer to the Jimmy Stynes method?
