Quite unbelievable how Frawley could go from BOG to having an absolute shocker in 7 days. He was pantsed by Riewoldt. He was holding him when he didn't need to, pushing when he didn't need to, being led to the ball, not spoiling like we know he can.

Odd.

Was his report serious? Is he likely to be suspended for 2 or 3 weeks?

Watching the replay of it, it didn't hit his head more upper shoulder and neck area personally I think he should get off minimum 1 week

Probably good that Frawley got a big wake up call. He has a very big task next week and must give his all.

Absolutely! We'll need him to stand tall next week against the Brown/Fev show! This week may have reminded him he aint quite invincible just yet...

Looked like a legit hip and shoulder to me.

I think Frawley wasn't well today, and there were rumours circulating (as another poster suggested in a separate thread), that one of the defenders was ill coming into the match.

He really couldn't run and he was rotated far more heavily than he usually is.

Edit: Scully- bloody friggin brilliant

That would explain it. It was just so far removed from the brilliance of last week.

We need him fit and firing if we're any chance vs Brisbane. He and Warnock have a big week ahead of them.

I was one to jump on Trenners as a star but Scullys run will be brilliant

Real test comes next week, especially our backline

Well done to the captain today - awesome

Hard to be unhappy with a 55 point win. I think Bailey will go in with the same team against the lions.

Scully- Rising Star Nomination?

Some wanted him dropped this week for Newton

I don't think anybody wanted him dropped because he was no good.

I certainly think that he let the pressure get to him over the past 3 weeks (giving away poor frees, dropping marks etc), and it was only a matter of time before he started to feel comfortable at this level and dominate. There was never ever a question of talent or application.

Having said that, the best thing we can do to our team is play them and Scully was awesome today, and I'm glad he got to play against poorer opposition to give him the ability to get a lot of the ball and build his confidence going forward. He is awesome.

As good as he was today. the same mistakes were still there. I am NOT one for dropping him, but I think a week or two in the 2s isnt too far off. Its only healthy.

Bartram was crap today, Bruce [censored] me off, Frawley had a bad game compared to his last few.

Odd.

Going to be difficult against Brown or Fev next week.

Expand on those mistakes you saw today.

I thought Jones was very good today, which was nice to see.

I was shocked to see Moloney had 37 touches! Scully's handballing is amazing.

Ill try H.

There were a number of occasions were he was caught with the ball stupidly. Some of his disposals today weren't fantastic, and put other under pressure.

Last week he did the same, the only difference was, it wasn't his fault. He found space (allot) but because no one was forward of the ball, or team mates were too flat footed, he got caught, and it made him look bad.

I am not out to hang the guy, he's played 4 pretty amazing games. All i am saying id that a week or 2 in the 2's certainly wouldn't hurt. Trengove will need to, as well soon. There young kids.

Having said that, it as by far his best game for the Dees, and he has taken a step forward. But a break probably isn't far off.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
