At least we have somehting to look forward to at the game now, im keen to see how they perform with the increase in intensity. Hopefully Strauss has earned a spot also.

Yep these kids are a BIG reason i am going round one. Really hope they turn it on seen them play in the pre season and both look the goods, i imagine they have been building for round one and ready too show why they are the best 2 kids in the land!! I'm excited...

Thats enough for me, i'm there (was going anyway), but now i am pumped. Been a tough pre season, but bring on the reel stuff!

Perhaps they are a good reason. There is 20 other reasons too. One in particular I like to watch is "JG" too. He is just as good as reason to go see a game of footy.

The main reason though, should be to support the club unconditionally and enjoy an afternoon of footy for the first time at the G in over 6 months, with the smell of pies, hotdogs & hot chips wafting through the stadium on a great autumn day.

Let the journey begin Boys.

Bring that cup home in the years ahead and you shall be always remembered at the MFC

In all the misery on 'land and 'ology it's a shame that this has been glossed over. Yes we have lost Wonna and Sylvia to short termers, and Morton and Jurrah to mid-termers, but Scully and Trengove coming in and playing well well be by FAR the bigger deal come round 22. I don't think I'm the only one who was hugely encouraged by their pre-seasons. They played every game, right?

All is not lost for season 2010. There's going to be a LOT of fun to be had despite the unfavourable win:loss ratio.

You're quite right. The following week you'll quiver at the smell of tooth decay and horrid body odour. ;)

(Apologies to those still consuming their lunch).

Don't they still sell heavy beer during day games?

They did when I was last at the G in 2008.

That's what getting to the pub at 11am beforehand is for...

Geezus people..

Sneak in your own proper beer, wine or spirit in a flask or "unopened" bottle of something.. dont let them rip you off for food and bevvys!

Fill up an empty small bottle of water with voddy, stick it in your pocket and bring / buy a can of coke!

Cant remember the last time I paid for a drink at the footy. demon_wink.gif

Theres nothing like sipping on Ribena, (which is actually a fine Red) in front of a good game of footy!

Just think, In years to come, we can say "I was there when Tom and Jack played their first game for the Red and Blue.Remmember when the Dee's were struggling to win games and all looked hopeless."

Of course no one will believe after dominating the last decade from 2012 onwards that the Mighty Demons were ever as bad as that. :)

HaHa! Absolutely.. BYO all the way. Must try Voddy & Ribena, sounds very civilized in the MCC Reserve.

Funny!

And ya gotta love a coupla hot jam donuts on the walk back to Richmond station.

Oh and seeing these 2 blokes run out for the 1st time will be sensational.

Canadian Club for mine, unfortunately it is only with coke not dry ginger at the footy.

At this stage will not be attending fluff it but trying to get out of an obligation.

I was already going, but that just makes it better.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
