If Luke Ball gets delisted by saints , we should try and get him or trade.Good player and is only 25 and could fill the void left by Wheels

no thanks, too expensive because saints wont delist him but even if they did we already have mclean, jones, moloney, valenti who are in and under and slow with limited kicking ability

Nup. This is rebuild time. Let the other teams worry about 25 yo cast offs and we will worry about getting kids to grow a good side a couple of years from now.

Too injury prone!.....

...We already have Rivers for that role

At the moment we have 50% of the list for that one. But, yeah, it's not the fit for us. If we were sitting 4th or 5th I'd say we should consider it but it's not what we need or want at the moment.

if we were going to deal with the saints i reckon we go for that ben mcavoy he looks too be a fair player.

St Kilda would never let him go.

King / Gardiner only have so much time left and McEvoy is a gun youngster that plays their position.

Not a chance.

Yeah knew it would be a long shot but worth a try i guess. i really dont think we nned ball though, good player but not the fit for us right now we have to many of hes type.

Jamar has been good the few weeks but is there any disgruntled ruckmen around at the moment that we could give a late pick for??

Jamie charmen perhaps? how old is he?

Let's be honest though, in reality the likelihood of him coming is very very low. These things are very hard to work out and never seem to work. Our team is not in need of Ball although he would be add something to our team but not something we desperately need. He will not be coming to the Dees IMO.

Has anyone put some thought into getting Luke Ball to MFC.Not sure what the rumours are like in VIC but in SA the word seems to be that he wont be at the Saints next year.Is he contracted or could we possibly get him in the PSD.Would be a great addition to the club i think, could help the young lads out & add a bit of class. What are eveyones thoughts or info about this? Also Salopek,Boak & ebert all signed for the Powerless so we would have to trade,no chance of PSD for them. Also i dont mind Marcus Drum,is good size & played a good game on the weekend & heard he wants to head back to VIC

Just was thinking - Maclean plus pick 18 or 34 for Ball - remember Maclean won the game for us in the 06 Final against the Saints - they may view him as a fair replacement with a sweetner thrown in.. They're the same age so we're not looking any older (apart from the extra pick...).

Do you think the Saints might just be aware of McLean in the 3 years of subsequent games he has played particularly against the Saints? <_<

    BLOODY BLUES by Meggs

The conclusion to Narrm’s home and away season was the inevitable let down by the bloody Blues  who meekly capitulated to the Bombers.   The 2024 season fixture handicapped the Demons chances from the get-go with Port Adelaide, Brisbane and Essendon advantaged with enough gimme games to ensure a tough road to the finals, especially after a slew of early season injuries to star players cost wins and percentage.     As we strode confidently through the gates of Prin

Melbourne’s most important player who dominated the first half of the season until his untimely injury in the Kings Birthday clash put an end to his season. At the time, he was on his way to many personal honours and the club in strong finals contention. When the season did end for Melbourne and Petracca was slowly recovering, he was engulfed in controversy about a possible move of clubs amid claims about his treatment by the club in the immediate aftermath of his injury. LIVE AND LET DIE by Meggs

The Demons’ impressive late season charge to finals will most likely come unstuck this Saturday evening when the Bombers blow up the also-ran Blues in the Ikon Park double-header.   To mangle McCartney, what does it matter to ya? To have any chance to play next week Narrm has got a job to do and needs to do it well.  We’ve got to give the Pie sheilas hell, say live and let die! It’s Indigenous Round for this game and the chance to celebrate and engage with Aboriginal and Torres

After a bright start to the season, playing mostly in defence, Howes seemed to lose his way in midseason but fought back with some good performances at Casey and finished the year back at AFL level. Originally an NBL basketballer with the Brisbane Bullets, he moved across town in 2019 to the AFL Lions where he played 19 games before crossing to Melbourne where he was expected to fill a role as a back up ruckman/key forward. Sadly, had to wrap up a great career in midstream on the back of multiple concussions which culminated in the Maynard hit in the 2023 Qualifying Final. His loss to the club was inestimable over and above his on field talent given his character and leadership qualities, all of which have been sorely missed.
