Essendon players home raided for drugs!

One ecstasy tablet supposedly.

Pretty serious stuff, but do police really waste their resources and time raiding homes for the sake of one ecstasy tablet?

They must have been tipped off about drug activity or trafficking of a larger magnitude.

We'll know if he's guilty if he starts dancing around with glow sticks when the umpire blows its whistle.

(I've always been a big fan of NLM actually, hope it's just a beat up)

Poor Bugger, most of us have happily indulged in the odd goog or two, without being raided & splashed all over the Herald sun Toilet Paper.

I hope he is cleared. Pity it wasn't Lloydy though. Would love to see that jerk go down, & that means literally not taking a dive in the goal square.

Take some heat out of the tanking debate, I was hoping something like this would come up.

Yep. My first thought was the same. Some other club can have the media blowtorch aimed at them for a couple days.

Not sure what to make of this yet. But being charged with possession of a single E is overly dramatic if you ask me. Ridiculous. Obvously the police thought they'd find more than that.

When I was 20 the house I was living in got raided. Not a pleasant experience. Amusing when all they find is five pieces of 'marijuana paraphernalia'. But still not fun.

And how does a raid on a house result in someone being charged with driving without a license? Unless he is living in his car.

Hopefully Nathan doesn't find himself in too much trouble from all this.

Agree with WYL; it's an absolute non-event. Even if he's "guilty", I really don't care and nobody else should either. If he was in any other profession, no one would.

DaveyJones'sLocker, your "drugs are bad, they are illegal" angle is nothing short of circular logic; you're not saying "drugs are bad because they do this this and this to you", you're saying, "drugs are bad because they are illegal, and they are illegal because they're bad, and they're bad because they're illegal". Its an argument that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever, and it's surprising how many people get sucked in by it.

two sheds jackson i dont think that additute towards drugs is the best approach

its the sort of approach that leads to them being readily available and accepted by some individuals..

Its also the sort of attitude that makes alcohol and cigarettes readily available and accepted by some individuals...

- Where do you draw the line on deciding whats good for other people?

Admittedly a bit deep for a football forum...

    GALLANT by KC from Casey

The world “gallant” is not one that is readily acceptable to losing teams in our game of football so when it was used in the context of the Casey Demons’ loss to Sandringham in yesterday’s match at Casey Fields, it left a bitter taste in the mouth.  The Demons went into the game against the St Kilda affiliated Zebras with the advantage of playing on their home turf (not that this has been a major asset in 2024) and with very little else going in their favour. The Saints have close to a full

    MEANWHILE by Whispering Jack

… meanwhile, at about the same time that Narrm was putting its feet on the accelerator to obliterate the long-suffering Euro-Yroke combination, I heard someone mention in passing that Kuwarna was leading Waalitj Marawar by a whopping 46 to 1 halfway through the second quarter of their game over in Adelaide. “What is football coming to?” I asked myself.  In front of my eyes, the Demons were smashing it through the midfield, forcing turnovers and getting the footy to their forwards who w

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th
