I'm not a fan, but can't believe the comments on here. I feel like I'm on Bay 13.

When we are out to try to win as many games as we can next year, I can't believe he will still be on the list, but someone like Robbo quite possibly won't be be!

Maybe Bailey has a new position in mind for him.

I was positive i saw him standing shoulder to shoulder with Deledio at a a centre bounce today.

Another Bailey coaching masterstroke today !

I saw that too, could not believe what I was seeing.

I dont think he even has the build. He's body hasnt changed in three years which means he doesn't work hard off the ground either. He continually S#3%Ts himself at this level. Just not up to it. Not up to even in the slightest. I dont care if we need to pay him out (he couldnt possibly be on that much) he needs to go at seasons end, especially with the compromised draft next year, we need as many kids as we can. If there were 50 boxes to tick to become an afl player he would prob tick 1 and that would be a good tackle. And im sorry that is just not enough to cut it at this level. EVEN if its playing with us. Its nothing personal, i just dont have anything constructive to say about juice.

i must admit i still held out a little bit of hope that just maybe he might make it.

after yesterday i now know he most definitely won't.

Both Miller and Newton have question marks about whether they will make it or not. Newton has some talents but really is flaky between the ears and I dont think gets whats required at AFL level. I think he is start to twig to it but its a slow process.

Miller does not have that same ability but relies on his athleticism and work ethic to make the most of his limited talents. IMO its not enough and at year end Miller is likely to be delisted.

Newton is a question mark. He has another year on his contract but sands in the hour glass are starting to run down. He needs to get his head right to maintain his position in the AFL. That includes kicking goals from gettable shots. ATM he is as good as a golfer that cant putt. With Watts coming on, Jurrah looking special and Bate starting to mature I am not sure the window of opportunuity that has been crying for Newtonto step up will be there in 9 to 12 months unless there is a big change. He will be fascinating to observe re his progress or lack thereof.

Iwould hate to see Miller delisted....it would be a bad choice from MFC. Miller is the best lead up forward in the game but is at a club that the delivery into him his less than acceptable. He is also a good hard player will stick up for his team mates and intimidate smaller or less experianced defenders easerly.

Newton I believe may make it but DB needs to give him a game time for the rest of the year he still seems to me to look unconfident in AFL and needs that time. Saying that he has had 5 yrs so I agree with everyone else if nothing is shown next year I dont believe he will be at the MFC next year.

He's not a great mobile athlete and he doesn't have the build for a Roughead/Kosi type.

He might have the build if/when he fills out more and then his athletic ability would be okay for his type.

I was prepared to give him a go if his field play was up to the standard of the past couple of weeks (trying to ignore his atrocious kicking). If he'd kept that up for every match until the end of the year, he'd be worth keeping and working on his kicking.

But if he can't maintain even that mediocre-at-best standard and if yesterday was his worst (it was his worst wasn't it? surely not even he could play any worse???)when he's playing for his career every game, then it's over.

If his best is average and his worst is dreadful, and if he can't hit anywhere near average against a team like Richmond, then how can we possibly keep him?

I think you've got that the wrong way around.

His attitude looks pretty good.

He is still not strong enough to hold a KPP down and that with his lack of pace, agility, hands below the knees, his got very limited options to exploit his opponent.

That and his kicking makes it hard.

He would only intimidate defenders if he was dangerous. He barely kicks any goals and therefore 99% of the time is totally ineffective. I see Bate, Pettard and even Watts playing that lead up role. We don't need Miller for anything else, as he doesn't provide anything else. His leadership this year has been non-existent. I'd be seriously considering delisting him. Especially, if we pick up another tall forward in this years draft. I'd put game time into him next year. Miller wouldn't even be getting a game with players like LJ, Wonna and Watts to come back into the side, therefore he'd be list clogging.

The fact that we've kept a player with Miller's limited ability and extremely modest output, for so many seasons, makes me think we'll hold onto Newton after next year's end. Unless, the FD make the decision and delist Miller and Newton (if the latter doesn't perform next year).

I think its a shame that the drafts in the near future are comprimised.....Newton would be a great trade to any team wanting to "list manage" next season, ive seen people with wooden legs who can kick more accuratlt than him!

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
