*EDIT* DAMN! Missed by 1 Minute! What happened to the 6 hour rule?

Huh? Is there a cut off time for whose votes count?

6:Sylvia

5:Cheney

4:Grimes

3:Frawley

2:Maric

1: Watts (officially the first person on demonland to give Watts a vote)

This is surely a joke, right? Cheney wasn't in our top 6 (but he wasn't terrible either). Maric played shockingly, and really should be dropped. I can't see any justification for giving him votes. And there's no way Watts was in our top 6.

FWIW:

6 - Sylvia

5 - Grimes

4 - Warnock

3 - Jamar

2 - Bate

1 - Davey

I don't think i could give votes for this game, it would be too hard finding more than just one or two. Thankfully voting is closed so i won't. All i can say is:

Sylvia BOG by a MILLLLLLLLLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.. Not one single player showed as much guts and intensity as Sylvia did, for 4 consistent quarters.

Like a couple of others, i agree that Cheney was one of our best, ditto Grimes, despite what their opponents did. The kids definitely showed enough g&d, as well as glimpses of class and poise, to make me excited about their futures. They got taught some very important lessons by some very good players today and will be better for it.

Jamar was pretty good as our rucks dominated the hitouts, yet our mids couldn't get near it. 31 hitouts looks nice on paper, but how many of them actually helped us get the clearance? He's much improved and is moving better than i've ever seen, but Josh Fraser did get a lot of the ball and use it to advatange on most occasions. If i had to give votes i'd give him just 2 or 1.

Struggle to find anyone else vote worthy really. All of Moloney, McLean, Bruce, Jones were servicable but beaten by their direct opponents in the midfield and the latter 2 in particular displayed their glaring disposal issues. None of the forwards deserved a vote really, and the backs were also well beaten. Definitely a tough week to find positives...

Well I didn't see the whole game. I left 5 minutes early so I could both get out of the car park before the rush and (B) avoid the mad scum supporters who attacked Nathan Jones' dad last time.

However I was very impressed by our no. 12 and a couple of others - so:

6 Sylvia

5 Moloney

4 Grimes (the Real future of the MFC)

then I suppose

3 Jamar

2 Davey

1 Warnock

The rest? Too hard for me to separate from a maize of disappointing performances.

Just got back from Melbourne, so couldn't post selections earlier.

reckon you could post what the weeks contributions are as well as the leader board, so we can see who got the actual votes each week?

A comparison: -

Sylvia v Davey

Just did a quick calculation. Prior to D'lands update, by my calculations there were 14 (completed) x 6 votes for Sylvia. 84 votes.

Aaron Davey was voted for 6 times out of those 14 voters. (4,3,1,1,2,2 = 13 votes).

From the Round 10 update:

C.Sylvia went up by 8.571 points

A.Davey went up by 2.381 points

GAMEDAY: Rd 11 vs St. Kilda

It's Game Day and after 2 losses on the trot the Dees must win against the Saints today at the MCG to keep in touch with the Top 4. A loss today will see them drop out of the Top 8 for the first time since 2020.

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

POSTGAME: Rd 10 vs West Coast

Many warned that this was a danger game and the Demons were totally outclassed all game by a young Eagles team at Optus Stadium in Perth as they were defeated by 35 points.

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.
