MOTLOP ON REPORT

The bloke's always a pest when we play them.

Is there anyone who saw the incident and do you think the match review dudes will remove him from next Sunday's game against us?

MOTLOP ON REPORT

Being reported by a Goal Umpire alone is unusual in this day and age. Hopefully there will be supporting video evidence. One week would do nicely.

I seem to recall he has some carry-over.

No Motlop for Port on Sunday after being offered a one match ban. Motlop is unable to reduce the length on suspension with an early plea.

Heath Shaw and John Anthony were both cleared along with former Dee Chris Johnson.

and no Justin Westoff either....another 3 goal a game player. So this means that Power will be relying on tredrea for goals and i feel confident Warnock can do a job on him

This Motlop news doesnt affect the Demons at all, as we have no chance of winning at AAMI for a few years still.

We were even pathetic there in our Finals seasons.

Yeah, wasn't it surprising to read that before they won on Friday night, St Kilda was listed in the Herald Sun as having the worst record at AAMI of any club. How did we escape the radar on this issue? Sadly, I just put this one down as a loss every time. I guess you aren't tipping a Demon win then this week YM? I remember a few seasons ago, after hitting the top of the ladder, one game clear after 18 rounds, being thrashed by either Adelaide or Port at AAMI the next week. I don't have the answer. We even play better at Subiaco don't we? Certainly had more wins over there in the last 10 years.

Bobby, from memory we got pumped, PUMPED, by the Crows after they had had a rubbish few months in Craig's first game as coach.

We won a few in a row, hit the top of the table, then got pumped by Port to begin our 5 losses in a row.

Certainly a hell hole for us. Not to mention Round 22, 2006. Half the Crows side out, a win for a top 4 spot, never got into it.

Last year we played the week after the Freo game, kicked the first four of the last/third quarter to get it back to 27 points....lost by over 70

Actually, I'd be happy if one of the Port players such as Chad Cornes, really got under his skin and had a go at him. Just to see if he fires up on the field.....it's time the penny dropped for Sylvia.

Does the penny drop for Mildura boys?

Look closer, and you'll see that that was a stupid HUN miscalculation. They claimed St Kilda had a worse record than us because they'd won 4 and we'd won 5. Do the maths and you'll see that our winning percentage is lower than their's, because we've played about 5 more matches than them over the same time period. We've got the worst winning percentage at AAMI.

He will just get reported.

I just want him to focus and play footy.

So now it's no forward line vs. no forward line this week.... should be an interesting game to say the least!

Someone on the Port Board at Big Footy was bemoaning turnovers and skill errors, on the face of it things sound pretty even.

Not good to watch though.

PS Motlop is challenging his week

Yeah, apparently the goalie had some sort of delusional episode. Motlop said "didn't happen" and Hunter agreed with him.

Yeah the players code probably kicked in on that testmony, but according to the report delivered on Fox Sports tonight Motlop was asked if he "punched" Adam Hunter and he said he didn't then Hunter said he didn't, and then Motlop went on to amend this opinion by saying something along the lines that it was "more of an upper cut" !!!

Anyway he was cleared all the same......

Daniel Motlop free to play, Adam McPhee suspended

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had
