Colin, Colin, Colin...

Kiss of Death

Recommended Posts

SEN reporting colin sylvia suspended from the game against the doggies. The announcement says the leadership group is unhappy with his late nights, and he's playing with the scorps this weekend. They've shut up shop too, the announcement said there'd be no further comment.

I doubt there will be anymore more angry at Colin than Colin.

Lets just hope when he's back in the team he can have a good year - he's more than due.

Stop Making excuses for the Idiot will you.Colin is on Good Coin & should start to respect his work place. Six Bloody Years he has treated Melbourne like a holiday camp. Not good enough. I hope Our President Tears strips off him.

Which clubs were chasing OP riddled players who had not done anything yet? :o

You would have got nothing for him then as you would now.

Someone may have taken a punt on all his potential that i have been reading about for the last 5 years.

We gave up a decent pick to get a Meesen, and there have been some big spuds over time to go for high draft picks(Chris Tarrant springs to mind).

Silly boy, just after he shows some form against the swans (not sure about the lions match) and he breaks team protocol...

I'm glad they are playing hard ball with him, and whoever else steps out of team protocol, we have to be united...

I find myself in agreement with Trag twice in as many days. Whilst my views on Sylvia as a player are known - lacks footy nous, overrated talent, 'just a player' - it's not earth shattering news.

If anything I'm impressed with the decisions our leadership group are making. Prior to the last 12 months he'd have got away with it.

To a degree this is a bit of a storm in a teacup scenario but it is an important line that is being drawn here by the club. With a young up and coming list it needs to be shown that rules are nothing if they are not enforced. I think the embarrasment of being dropped is bigger than the actual offence but I hope Sylvia is embarrased because he is going on 24 this year (in age) and he should be using his head more by now.

The only reason it's an issue is because the headlines will say "Leadership group suspends Sylvia." The reasons for the suspension are irrelevant, regardless of how trivial they are. The media will just dumb the story down to here Sylvia goes again.

Very disappointing

I know I'm dreaming but wouldn't it be great if this was a Gary Ablett Jnr moment...

How on earth could this be a 'Gary Ablett Jnr moment'?

In what way is it anything like his career to date?

I just don't see the correlation...

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
