Instead of taking on a challenge of helping to rebuild a club that has won 8 games in 2 years, you took the easy option.

You are frontrunners of the highest order, and dont have the guts to accept a challenge.

We dont need mentally weak players at our footy club.

You are not men.

How Far under the Salary Cap are those Cheating Blues now? That's all i care about. Niether of those players are proven. We may already have the Best Warnock.

Prismalls knee buckled under his own weight. I didn't like the look of that long term, as i said yesterday i remember Steven Clark from Essendon who played four games and did his knee again against essendon! We still have all our picks guys. Chill its Beer Oclock!

prismall and warnock can eff off and get more knee injuries and be worse than at freo

The only message that will make Warnock and Prismall regret their choices is the improvement of the club into a premiership force in 3-5 years time, ahead of Carlton and Essendon. Let's face it, we're not going to be able to do that by luring players to our club. The romantic notion of players choosing to come to our aid in a time of dire need is great, but we're dealing with footballers here, hardly the deepest thinkers humanity has to offer. We can't rely on other clubs' starts coming our way to help us out. We need to start drafting well, and not piddling our first round draft picks up the wall like we do most years. We have to change the public perception of us as the flatulating dullard cousin by ourselves. I'm not in the slightest bit annoyed that we couldn't land an overpriced or injury-ridden player from another club by sacrificing a draft pick this week. It would have been nice to offload some players for draft picks, but you can't force other clubs to give up picks they refuse to part with.

Attention now turns to both drafts. Melbourne must draft extremely well, especially with the first three selections. We have to make it a massive priority to convince a currently uncontracted quality player that Melbourne is the place to be in 2009 and take them in the PSD. It's in our hands.

Who cares about them? Draft our way to success, show them why they chose wrong, especially in 2-3 years time. No point complaining over them now.

Would you like some cheese with that whine. Get over it fool.

Primsall went to Essendon yes(his prefered destination), but I was under the impression that he would have been happy to end up at Melbourne, unlike Warnock who reportedly out right refused to consdier the Demons. So I wouldnt necessary lump them together

Posted
FFS who cares? These players owed us nothing.

If you were in their position who would you choose?

I would choose the Demons because I am not gutless like them.

I would pic melbourne easy.

I honestly recon we'l get a premiership before essendon.

care factor of these two?

seriously, they chose other clubs and let's hope that they regret their decision when we become one of the genuine forces of the afl, through the recruitment of youth, a touch of experience and brand of footy that will win premierships...

Hilarious Yze_Magic. Absolutely hilarious, you've out done yourself this time.

I agree with demonologist to an extent. Warnock flat out said he would rather play along side Chris Judd than his own brother. That is a massive slap in the face to the MFC. I still can't work it out.

Lets face it, where ever Prismall ended up, Essendon or Melbourne, he is looking at a fair stint before he gets near a premiership. In the end he was looking for greater opportunity and game time, and both clubs offered 3 years.

Posted

Yeah Prismall said yes to both, maybe Melbourne wopuld only offer a very late draft pick so geelong went with essendon.

Who cares, it would have been good to get prismall but I really do not care that much, I would still be more excited about who we draft at 1, 17, 19 even if we got both of the other two.

Warnock - 21 games, largely unproven but has potential...... too big a risk for what he was asking IMO.

Prismall - Very good player with a very bad knee injury........ will be about 80% of what he could have been IMO. (would have taken him with our 3rd rounder though)

Would have liked us to gain more picks though, but they weren't being handed out like lollies were they ?

Posted

warnock can seriously stay the [censored] away from our club!!

chose money over family u money hungry [censored]!

dont care wat prismall does to be quite honest

Posted

Gee we are upset about Prismall broken down hack and Bean pole Warnock unproven hack not coming over, Bailey and co would have been laughed at when these to under performed and over priced players dont prove their worth

Bring on the draft and lets rebuild

So glad we didn't trade for these guys in the end. ANOTHER mid with a bung leg, and a bean-pole that has played about 20 games who's asking price was WAAAY to high... NO ruckman is worth pick 19 or better, unless it's Cox at age 20... and even the he was a rookie and no-one knew how good he was.

I'll take my 1, 17, 19 and 35 and go home, thankyou very much. Each one of these picks is worth more to us than either of those guys.

Why, because you support them?

FFS, these players owe the Melbourne footy club nothing.

Why don't we have a go at Jonathan Brown, Ryan O'Keefe, Paul Chapman etc for not leaving their clubs when they could to come and help Melbourne out?

Build a bridge...

Seriously, you'd think we just missed out on Judd all over again.

Prismall is slow and now has a dud knee, and Warnock has done NOTHING in this career thus far.

Gees I'm so glad to be so far away at this time of year

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
