Won't give any because thats pretty close to spot on, from my perspective. Maybe generous to McDonald but he does alot of things that I can never notice, so kudos to him.

6. Cameron Bruce, for his clearances in a team that is terrible in that area.

5. Cale Morton, because of his marking, running and kicking.

4. Brad Green, for his courage and footy smarts. Would have come close to BoG if he had kicked straighter.

3. Paul Johnson. I'll miss him until next year.

2. Matthew Whelan. Superb tackling and defensive pressure. We're real lucky to have him teaching our younger defenders.

1. Paul Wheatley. Lots of positive, attacking disposals. Did well today.

Honourable mentions to James McDonald, Nathan Jones, Matthew Bate, Brad Miller and Clint Bartram. I also liked Michael Newton's pressure in the first quarter, as well as his leading throughout the game.

Sorry to sound like a broken record, but another top game that probably won't get any votes (may not deserve either but nonetheless) from Matthew Whelan

The guy just never stops putting his body on the line, uses the ball well, when others are handballing for the sake of it, he'll use the handball to give a teammate the best opportunity to break away and move forward.

23 disposals at 95%

Well done Wheels, I'm glad you're proving the doubters wrong

I had a line through his name at the start of the year. Certainly don't now and I doubt there's too many who do. He's been very good this year.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
